I think Byard and Sims both have nice years. Sims starting looking petty decent towards the end of the year, wouldn't surprise me to see him battle for, and get a starter spot.

Yeah I remember PFF had Sims as their top graded Titans defender a few weeks in a row there at the end.

We went 9-7 in one of the weakest divisions in football. Still missed the playoffs and are yet to beat Colts

Jags have improved regardless of what we feel on here.
Houston, who knows but they win the division, slightly but still.

JRob needs to get experienced talent in and stop focusing on "good locker room guys"

Even if sims and reed both make strides and become regular contributors, we still need to draft a cb. Because mccourty is not reliable anymore. We need to go into week 1 with 4 capable cbs and 3 capable s.

The reaction was overly negative too when we drafted Lewan too!

Not a JR guy, but still... you can just always expect negativity from here.

Dude, being in "the weakest division in football" has nothing to do with it. We went 2-4 in the division. We actually beat the harder teams we weren't supposed to beat. Had we gone 9-7 with 6-0 in the division, then you'd have a point.

All the guys we've brought in are "experienced talent", weather you like them or not. All he's trying to say, is have a little faith and optimism.

FWIW AFC South is NOT the weakest division in the league right now

thats the NFC West and AFC North that own that lucky position in football

just think what last year could've been if we beat the Colts/Jags/Texans in game we had won.

Yet we sit here and not sign good starters while the Jags and Colts do.

Amen! I'm so sick of hearing that the AFC South is the basement division. We had 3 teams at .500 or better last year. Not every division could say that.

As for Sims/Reed, I want us to draft at least 1 CB this year and have the 3 or 4 of them compete for the outside and nickel spots. Let the best man win.

    Exactly.

We had more wins over teams with winning records than any other team last year (aside from Dal).

Also (as should be expected with all the new pieces/coaches) we got off to a slow 1-3 start, but finished a very strong 7-4

It's the exact opposite as the colts a couple years ago ... they would go 6-0 in a crappy division and lose most of their non division games. Sure they made the playoffs, but it really was more due to them being in a crap division. As the division has gotten better, they are struggling to keep up.

It's not like we just beat up on the crappy teams to get to 9-7 ... that being said, we absolutely have to figure out why we struggle so much in the division and fix that
