The Colts have beaten us 11 straight times...if we really want to win the division we have to beat them. So what do you do in the draft to position ourselves to beat them.

If you look at the Colts losses last yr. it stands out to me that TY Hilton only scored 2 tds in their 8 losses. So shutting him down is important in beating them. Hilton killed us last yr going over 230 yds and 2 Tds in our 2 losses to them.

Doyle killed us in the 1st game and Gore in the 2nd game.

I think we need Hooker roaming centerfield to take away Hilton over the top.

So what is the best way to stop the TEs and RBs from killing us. Is cyprian the answer??? The jags shut down Doyle and gore last yr. He might be. We could be looking to play a ton of 3 safety looks. But to really insure that we fix our TE/RB coverage deficits
I also think we need to add Hassan Reddick to give us a guy who is a chess piece. Reddick is a guy who can get after the QB, but also has cover skills. Teams like the Texans and Broncos have had success against the Colts by pressuring Luck. Reddick would give us another pass rusher as well.

If Reddick or foster are gone by 18 then take a WR or TE with the pick.

But adding a ball hawk at FS and real speed at LB is what we need to do to get over the hump with the Colts.

We shut down Hopkins, but for some reason Hilton ran wild on us. Everybody keeps talking about LB"s but let's please at corners that can cover in the draft.

How are the CBs going to help us stop TEs and RBs from killing us???

Of course LB's cover TE's and RB's but I think we need to focus more on CB than LB's, but I'm not saying we don't draft LB's. Just my opinion but I think our first 2 defensive picks should be CB.

If we can put luck on his back we can beat the Colts. Deep class for CB Id like to see us use 5 and 18 on a way to generate pressure

That's the way I feel too...by adding Hooker we make him hold the ball longer and Reddick is the chess piece who can allow Lebeau to dial up blitz packages

Yeah, I think Dick is probably exploding with ideas of how he's going to fit inside the system.

I thought the Titans were very hit and miss generating pressure. Some games it was pressure from start to finish. Other games it was as if we didn't try to get to the QB (Colts games come to mind).

I think taking someone that can cover should help in those games our current front doesn't get pressure but I think they do get after the QB enough that pass rusher shouldn't be our focus in the draft unless Garrett somehow falls to 5.
