Titans / Browns swap 1st round picks

I know this a joke but seriously I'd take this deal.

Swap 5 for 12 (-500 Titans)
Get #52. (+380 Titans)
Swap 83 for 65 (+90 Titans)

That would put us -30 in the trade. JRob could bait or finesse with that difference (eg- get their #145 at +34). This would give us back our 2nd we traded to them and we'd very likely still get a playmaker we need at #12. We'd have ammo with # 65 or #69 to trade that #52 high into early 2nd round.

This would give the Browns ability to jump Jets and nab Trubisky, the hometown Cleveland guy and Garrett plus keep their #33. We'd gain a 2nd , move up in 3rd and likely have an additional 5th to work a trade to get a higher 2nd.

I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat for that trade.

No way they'll do that.

 

I think if they really want #5 they might,

they have picks 1, 12, 33, 52, 65, 108, 142, 145, 177, 183, 187

and they truly suck at drafting, better to get the most likely to succeed than pick a ton of nobodies

No way they stay with 1,5, and then 52. Don't get me wrong- I'd take that trade. But I'd take the #52 plus the other swaps. We'd work that 3rd to move that 52 up to high second and net move up in third.

 

If Cleveland wants their guy at QB they may have no choice but to cough up the 33rd pick, NY Jets pick right behind us and also want a QB

Teams do stupid things on draft day when the first player at a position goes. I wouldn't be all the stunned if it happens
