    Marshon Lattimore vs Jabrill Peppers

    Clark's take

    Lattimore,

Pros: extremely tight man to man coverage with baiting and closing speed that helps him make up space when he's been beaten. Instantly jumps off the screen as a playmaker and someone highly likely to be an elite level CB in the NFL. Ran a strong 4.36 at the combine.

Cons: Injury concerns with hamstrings plagued his career early on at tOSU. Only a one year starter. Pulled up on his second 40 time with another injury at the combine. High risk? Higher reward.

    34 tackles, 11 assists, 4 INTs and 11 PDs. 2016 season: 36 targets 13 completions, 7 PDs 4 INTs, 159 yards given up.

    Peppers,

Pros: extreme competitor with some down hill play making ability. Appeared best as a small zone defender who could click and close on the ball carrier. Played in multiple positions - some claim out of position. ST elite return man. Smooth athlete in S drills at the combine

Cons: size concerns for LB (where some project him) coverage concerns for SS especially deep where he looked uncomfortable and lost the ball in the air on occasions when he was beat. Maybe reps at his real position should have been his goal instead of being a jack of all trades. Only intercepted one pass in his college carrier and it was a lollipop gift off a tipped pass. Cyprian role for us year 1. Odd fit considering.

3 year player, 2 year starter, 3 different positions. (Db, S, LB) 27 games played. 86 tackles 33 assists. 18.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. 1 int. 2016 season: 12 targets 8 completions. 2 PDs, 1 INT, 93 yards given up.

As LB: 14 stuffs, 4 Sacks, 6 hits, 6 hurries and one Forced Fumble.

16 was probably too many and 8 was not enough. I wanted a total number that is a power of 2 and would rather have a few too many than leave one out.

That is the logic I used anyway lol
