I think Lewan was clearly better as a rookie than Conklin was

Conk was at RT in his Rookie yer. Lewan was at LT. I think Lewan was challenged a lot more than Conk in his Rookie year.

Ok for fun I'll bite... (slow day at the office today)

Show us with some proof, stats, or SOMETHING to explain how he's just "barely above average"

It's not hard to find stats that show he's in the upper tier but I'd like to see what you have to show that supports your "perspective."

Yea and lewan played under whiz who we know didn't believe in any help

Conk under whiz likely don't look so great

Hard to really compare play different positions, however in terms of penalties I remember Lewan got quite a few.

Lewan had 10 penalties, 3 declined for 70 yards
Conklin had 3 for 15 yards.

Conklin had 0 holding penalties, 0 hands to the face (auto first down), and 0 ejections. Not to mention last year Lewan had 12 penalties accepted for 123 yards.

I like Lewan, he's a nasty LT that plays with an edge. Conklin is the quiet hard working guy who just does his job very well. Together they make a great combo, but hard to say he "clearly" had a better rookie year.
