I like the idea of Adams at SS and Byard at FS. Cyprien as our 3rd rotation guy.

Fry, bruh. I normally like your approach, but you avoided the question all together. You didn't name one single player? I want us to trade back first and foremost as well, but if we can't make a deal, who do we pick?

I think I have made it abundantly clear by now that I'm all in on Corey Davis.

Myles Garrett is the only elite player at the top and he isn't falling to five.

When a tightend who maxed out at 600 yards a season and one-dimensional safeties are being considered at five you know elite talent is nowhere to be found.

Why would it take Hooker 5years to become a good S in the NFL if he has such great athleticism, range, ball skills and much more NFL coaching than Adams got in college for the extra couple of years? At best you might say you have to live with some growing pains in year 1 but should be fully adjusted and kicking butt by year 2 if not earlier. Maybe a Jalen Ramsey comparison where he needs til the 2nd half of the season to put it all together?

If there are long odds on Hooker reaching his ceiling, what are your odds for Adams staying at his floor?

'Horrible' tackler? How did a horrible tackler who plays mostly deep cf manage to get 74 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss with a MLB in front of him who has 102 tackles. Hooker needs some technique work on his tackling for sure - most specifically taking good angles and breaking down - but these are very coach-able things. Having a rare elite range as a FS is not coachable. Adams will never have Hooker's range or ball skills.

Or put another way...would you rather have the S compared to a good NFL S who sometimes makes the Pro Bowl? Or the S who is compared to a Hall of Fame S and has uncoach-able traits?

I didn't say it would take him five years. I said it could. God knows it's happened before.

Frankly, until I see some solid player development out of this franchise, I favor polished prospects. Our guys rarely seem to get much better over time.

Reggie Nelson is the pro comp I see most commonly used for Hooker.

That's crap. Nobody with any credibility is comparing a guy with 1 year of college experience to Ed Reed. If he were comparable, he'd be ahead of Adams on all boards instead of behind him.

Actually you are wrong. His range is something that hasn't came into the league since Reed. He was playing behind a Vonn Bell so it's not like he was sitting behind scrubs. player comps aren't perfect. Doesn't mean he is as good as reed, means they are similar style and if he pans out he could be ed reed. He has ability that isn't coachable.
