I liked the ending but found both plot rather obvious.

I'm Negan'd enough with cliffhangers right now.
I was though disappointed that the proverbial sh*t didn't hit the fan with Chuck from the copy shop scene. A series of events to destroy Jimmy's world could have/should have happened right then and there.
I do trust these showrunners to make good with the cards remaining. I was left wanting more, which is always better than "I'm glad that finally ended".. :)

first time really back online since the finale aired. this show is masterful. it has fully discarded the notion that it is made to serve as a supplement to breaking bad. this is the best writing on television in a long long time, and potentially some of the best writing there has ever been on television. this show doesn't need cliffhangers. cliffhangers are often cheap and serve only to bolster other weaknesses. i'm not against them, but a show written this well doesn't really need it.

this is a show about relationships and morality. chuck, always walking the line, everything by the book, but with a heart of coal. jimmy's fine with blurring the lines, but always means well and will sacrifice himself for the those he loves, even if they treat him like dirt.

the final scene was obvious, but that was the point. jimmy is so blinded by his admiration and love for his brother that it completely clouds his vision while everyone else knows he's being manipulated. chuck, completely devoid of any heart setting his own brother up for destruction simply out of spite. if you need violence and drug running just go back and rewatch BB. this is a totally different beast.

I keep waiting to see what caused his name change

    I think
that the recording of Saul admitting he changed those documents will have something to do with it.

........also, I could see that angle coming a mile away.

honestly this is the one part of the show i don't like.

like great, bring gus back, whatever. but this show doesn't need to rely on BB fan service. it's already a superior show imo.
