If we trade down from the 5thpick tonight. What would be your ideal compensation?

For me we would have to come away with their first second and a first next year. maybe plus more.

Who ever we trade down with is looking for a quarterback. So I believe they would be willing to pay for the pick.

I don't want to trade down cause I feel like we would miss out on Foster.

We won't be able to command that much. They could just trade with NYJ at #6 instead. I say the ideal situation would be Cleveland #5 for #12 and one of their 2nd rounders.

Broncos have contacted the Titans about trading down to the 5th pick...wonder if we could pick up picl 20, 51, and Demaryius Thomas or Chris Harris?

    Dude... are you serious? Lol

You think they're gonna give up #20, 51, and Thomas/Harris?!

If they offered that, I'd jump all over it but feel sorry for them and throw in an extra pick or something.

That trade is straight highway robbery, dude. Don't be a homer in dream mode.

Broncos wouldn't even trade Thomas to swap firsts, hes still only like 28 or 29

You guys obviously haven't seen the value difference between draft picks and players (check Brandon Marshall trade to Jets, Demarco Murray trade to us, etc.) 20 and 51 would not net pick 5 (draftcalculator values 5 at 1700 and 20+51 at 1240).

20 is too far back to drop from 5 for my liking. They'd definitely have to throw in a player.

The guys at Bleacher Report, Miller and Cole, are the ones reporting this and it's probably for McCaffery.

I doubt Thomas or Harris is involved as and I don't have the charts in front of me but I'd assume JRob would want draft capital so 20, 51, 127, and a 1st next year would seem close for 5 and we might add a 3rd or 4th next year

Thomas + pick 20 would not sniff the 5th pick.
The drop from 5 to 20 is huge...what would you say is fair value? And don't say just 20 and 51 or 20 and a player because that is an absolute joke

Let's look at it from the trade chart calculator:
    #5 = 1700 pts

    #20 = 850 pts
    #51 = 390 pts

So with their first two picks, the Broncos are 460 pts short of getting there. That equates to a mid 2nd round pick. In this scenario they'd want to throw in a player to make up the difference rather than a future pick. The question then becomes, are DT or Harris worth just a 2nd?

Some people might say no way, they're worth way more than that. While they are stars, they're also a huge chunk of Denver's cap room. Are they worth that space for a team that really probably needs to do some rebuilding and get some other talent in more key areas? Denver may find them more expendable than you think. Or maybe there's another player they'd throw in. I'd take that Roby kid all day.

So while it's not likely, because I'm not sure who the hell they'd be going up for, it's possible.
