Boxing is weaker than it's ever been. Canelo couldn't f**k with Mayweather and has been beating up on nobodies his entire career. I hope GGG knocks that MF out.

Was... it's on the come up big time now!!

Might still be slow in the USA but on a global level I don't think it's ever been bigger with 2 top heavyweights both from Britain and both under 30. Middleweight division super nice now too with ggg at 37-0 and Alvarez at 49-1

Wilder was suppose to revive it in America. He definitely made it more relevant for me, again ... but not any of my friends. But I've always been into boxing.

I hate that Canelo has ran for so long, and GGG is now over 35 when they're finally fighting. However, you could make an argument that it'd have been just as unfair for them to fight years ago when GGG was in his prime and Canelo was still trying to reach his. Regardless, I'm pretty excited that it's finally happening.

I hope GGG wins ... but if I put money on the fight, I'll bet on Canelo to win.

This is a fight that I have no real idea who might win. I do believe that Canelo will outwork GGG so if it goes to decision, Canelo will win. I also believe that GGG will have a very hard time knocking out Canelo.

José Cotto nearly had him down at 140, so I think GGG can definitely knock him down (and probably out) at 160. But the younger Canelo should definitely outwork him, I think.

My question is where does GGG go from here, if he wins? Would he have accomplished enough to retire happy and healthy? If Canelo wins, I definitely see a rematch ... and possibly a trilogy, though.

Lara got robbed against Canelo a few years back.
Also, El disappointe (Chavez Jr.) was paid to take a dive. Worst Cinco de Mayo fight in recent memory being two Mexican boxers.

He was paid to fight and for Chavez Jr that meant losing. Chavez Jr is a terrible boxer and the only reason he has a career in boxing is because of his name. He beats a lot of never-heard-ofs, but the moment he steps up he gets dismantled.
The fact the Canelo fought Chavez Jr lowers my opinion of Canelo.
