Taylor can be a successful slot WR

Basically. If he has adequate rookie numbers (much like Sharpe) that won't be good enough here for all these dudes that think every player we draft is immediate HOF contender... then bail/dog on them the second reality hits.

If Sharpe is the "longterm #2" that still means they both bust. There's no way Sharpe who cannot separate will be a long term outside or slot option for this team.

The neck injury was not what I was even talking about. He is out NOW because of a herniated disc in his back. THAT is what I was talking about. My wife had a herniated disc in HER neck repaired as did Manning. My understanding was that Williams neck injury was a fracture; not a herniated disc. His CURRENT injury is a herniated disc in his back from the reports I have seen. Several reports are saying he could start the season on PUP.

THAT is the injury I was referring to; and I am willing to bet most Charger fans are as well. I know his HC is sure voicing public concern for the amount of time he has missed. He has missed nearly all of OTAs and is expected to miss TC as well.

He did not play the 2016 season with the herniated disc. He has not even taken part in OTAs with this injury....... Seems worth concern to me if he cannot even take part in non-contact drills.

I wish people would stop comparing injuries to significant others, family members, friends, cousins twice removed to professional athletes. I know you weren't exactly comparing and contrasting injuries that Manning sustained to your wife's but people seem to like doing this as if it is somehow relatable. It isn't.

I'm so glad JR didn't screw around and hope a WR fell. He had his guy and said **** it, took him at 5. He's the healthiest of the group this far and been looking good. So happy!

Sharpe vs Taylor is going to be camp battle to watch. 1 year pro vs rookie. Both small school guys.

I believe Sharpe is more of an outside receiver Taylor is the future slot guy. So it may not even be a camp battle at all.

But Sharpe could be a slot guy. Runs good routes can catch. Just not the athletic ability.

Taylor has the athletic ability. But is probably little more raw in route running.

Either way our future is bright at the WR spot. Something the Titans ain't never had.
