yes, its the way of the future (for now)

when defenses get smaller to stop the pass we come in and over power them with 2 TE's

Us, Atlanta and New England seem to be evolving back to this style more than most, and look where those other 2 teams just went...

Are you saying 2TEs AND 2RBs, as in a 22 formation with only 1 WR? Or are you saying we'll be in 3 or 4 WRs sets more often than 1-2 or 2-1?

As of right now the argument can be made that Decker is the most talented WR we have. I'm not saying he should be our #1 but he's a fantastic #2.

Also keep in mind we drafted aTE, although I do still like what Supernaw brings to the table

Balance is the number 1 thing a football needs in terms of play calling. We can do that now.

How quickly can a WR get back to 100% after foot surgery? Even if fully recovered, Taylor has a chance to compete and jump Tajae on the depth chart.

Wasn't Mathews considered a decent WR3 year before last?

What has that guy done to be considered a set in stone WR1?

    1. Decker
    2. Mathews
    3. Davis
    4. Taylor
    5. Sharpe

Is how I see it starting as the general pecking order at receiver.

Then if things go as planned:

    1. Davis
    2. Decker
    3. Mathews
    4. Taylor
    5. Sharpe

Let's not pretend we all the sudden have an elite WR group this year. We went from abysmal to hopefully above average.

Taylor above Sharpe is just a joke at the moment. We've literally only seen him in shorts and we instead brought in another slot WR... Why would anyone think hes above Sharpe on the depth chart? Seriously needs to be explained to me.

Sharpe had a good first season and is a hard worker. Questions regarding his ceiling/legal stuff/injuries to be sure but he's certainly above Taylor on any depth chart.

There's certainly a positive to not having a true #1 - defenses have to be completely honest. They can't roll safety's to one side, Marcus can easily stay away from a shut down corner, and we become much less predictable.

I think what we'll see to start the year is in 2 WR sets, Matthews and Decker. For 3 WR sets, Matthews and Davis wide and Decker sliding into the slot.

Decker and Walker working the inside with Davis and Matthews outside is honestly a ridiculous group, especially in the redzone.

EDIT: I do think Davis will probably rotate in with Matthews and/or Decker though on 2WR sets though, especially as the season goes on and he gets more comfortable.

Actually, Cody seemed to be rather offended by the whole rollin coal thing lol

So I doubt he is doing that, thankfully.

This is true. Having options is great. I still don't foresee us using a 5 receiver set. Why take Walker and Muarry off the field? They're the 3rd or 4th passing option (if not the 1st for Delanie). Taking them out for Taylor and Sharpe.. I just don't see it. But you're right. It's nice to at least have the option to.
Exactly! I can see bot betting better by keeping the same formula going.
