I used to be a customer support agent for AT&T, and it's not possible to get it without directv. They actually kind of screwed themselves on the purchase of DIRECTV because of this.

They purchased expecting to dissolve DirecTV into AT&T Uverse. They would then have Uverse in more homes and own the NFL deal to put on Uverse. However, they were legally blocked by the technicality of the contract between Directv and nfl. So, they kept directv active specifically for the nfl contract.

You can stream through various sites online or through Kodi (which is what Firestick uses, but it can also be downloaded on any computer for free). The problem is infinite lag, choppy service, dead feeds, and the picture quality is garbage (if you find a feed that is standard definition quality, you got lucky).

This is the route I went:
Sign up for directv, get nfl sunday ticket free for the 1st year. Year 2, I had to stream. Then, directv doesn't reup your contract automatically ... you are now month-to-month. Wait for the free Sunday ticket offer, and call to sign a new contract, be sure to specify you want a ONE YEAR contract. You're considered a new customer, so you get the nfl sunday ticket free. You just reup every year as it expires, now ... you have sunday ticket free for life.

Actually tried this a couple years ago with Direct TV and they noticed I had shut them off after like 6 years of good service with them. After I had them shut off for about 6mths- 1yr, I tried signing up and getting free Sunday Ticket for the year, they said no. According to them, I had to be a non-customer for at least 2 years before I could sign back up as a new customer.
Before I had shut it off, I asked if there were any breaks they could give me for so many years of service with no payment issues, they only offered that standard 2 months of some movie channels that would auto jump to the $10 a month or however much after those 2 months.
I told em forget it, canceled and have never contacted them again. Direct TV blows in my eyes and they don't give 2 sh**ts about their customers, no matter how loyal they've been.

I've never cut service with them, continuous service since 2013. I had AT&T Uverse at my apartment, but they don't offer service at the house I bought. So, had to go cable, DirecTV, or Dish ... Sunday Ticket was the deal breaker that pushed DirecTV out front. If you count the AT*T Uverse service (which AT&T won't, for whatever reason), then I've uninterrupted service with them since 2010.

When your contract ends, you are month-to-month for the exact same price as your previous contract. They want to get you locked back up, so they know you aren't going anywhere ... so, they qualify you for any "new customer" offers, in an attempt to get you under contract.

Speaking as a former agent, the customer support person will bend over backwards to get you under contract, because it counts as a sale, and you get huge benefits and commissions on sales with AT&T. That's why anytime you call, they won't let you off the line without offering you something.

For example, my original 2-year contract was up in a January. I kept service month-to-month until August (when I was sure they were offering the Sunday Ticket free for new customers), re-upped for 1 year with the Sunday Ticket. My contract now expires at the start of every August, and I re-up for the 12-months + free Sunday Ticket every year (along with the 90 days of free HBO, ShoTime, and Cinimax).

    Another trick they do:
    - 3 months into your contract, you qualify for a $60 bill credit, but it's only payable as a $5 credit every month for 12 months ... but there's only 9 months left on your contract.

    - 6 months into your contract, you qualify for a $240 credit, but it's only payable as a $20 credit every month for 12 months ... but there's only 6 months left on your contract.

**NOTE: You need to have at least 1 year of uninterrupted service, no late payments, and most importantly YOU HAVE TO CALL AND ASK, THEY WON'T CALL YOU TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM.***

So, at the end of your contract, you will still have 3 months of $5 credits left and 6 months of $20 credits left. The idea being that you won't want to leave that $135 of free credit on the table, and are more likely to sign a new deal.

Lately I guess it's to keep customer's but DirecTV has been super nice with deals. If you call and just be nice and say I love the service but could you knock 5 to 10 bucks off they have been coming back with I can do better then that and will give you 25 to 45 bucks off plus free Sunday ticket or HBO. I think the kicker lately is that they have been giving good deals for customer's who are looking for a break and not just "if you don't do this I will leave".

There's one called Sports Pro that has some HD quality streams, but if you don't have 60mbps internet, it can get laggy.
