He inherited a #2 franchise QB pick. He inherited a #1 pick. He parlayed that into some nice additional picks but busted on a #33 pick and the #43, the #45 Henry been good. His later rounds been slightly above average. Byard was a good pick. We haven’t seen anything but potential yet out of Davis.

His FA been alright. He did well with Murray but Ryan just been alright and Cyprien hasn’t done chit.

So like I said - average right now. Held back by an owner who didn’t want to pay 3coacj contracts so bargain basement Mularkey forced on him. Compared to Reinfeldt and Webster- JRob looks genius. Your standards are way lower than what they should be but understandable since you’re used to what the Titans have had.

The team tripled its wins. Being genuinely impressed and optimistic about that is not having low standards. They've had one of the most sudden turnarounds if any team in recent years. And the reason for that is due to what he did, plugging in the missing pieces for a great O line and bringing in backs for one of the top rushing attacks in the league.

I'm not judging him by the previous regimes, because they were garbage and I refused to follow such an organization. I've actually followed good teams with good GMs. The Titans have a good one.

I'm not ready to say that until his drafts work out better. I'm not impressed with FA- but that could be due to funds made available by owner.

And if you are touting "turnarounds" as the big feather in his cap, you ARE comparing to previous "regimes". We were gifted a Texans win to put us at 9-7; they rested their starters. And they beat the chit of us by 30+ points with their rookie QB this year. The biggest reason we went 9-7 last year was due to Marcus Mariota and Delanie Walker. Murray and Conklin did have something to with it- So I'll give JRob credit for that. But I'll also ding him for the atrocious lack of pass rush help he selected in Dodd and Johnson- both 2nd rounders.

    Tap the brakes a bit.

:hugelaugh::hugelaugh::hugelaugh::scorebad: worst thread ever, your over reacting like always. J Rob has turned this team around from a horrid 7-9, 2-14 and 3-13 under Whiz and Webster to 9-7 and 4-3 this year under Mike and J Rob calm down and give them a chance to actually build the roster and let the picks prove theirself which they are starting to do. Rookies are going to be rookies so let them develope and stop hitting the panic button every time something happens, its the NFL you have ups and downs so get used to it.

No, the main reason is not because of Mariota and Walker. For one, the leading receiver in terms of yards, TDs, and YPC was Rishard Matthews, an addition by Robinson. And we won because of the #3 rushing offense which sure didn't exist before Robinson arrived. Conklin was an All-Pro addition, but he also added a solid center in Ben Jones and Josh Kline has been a very good RG, giving us one of the best and most complete lines in the league. A line which has also kept Mariota clean (though not particularly healthy).

I agree that Dodd seems to be a whiff. But injuries happen, busts happen. Johnson is used a run stopping DT, and he's done fine. I'd like to see more out of those picks in the near future. I can see you being underwhelmed by Johnson, but he has not been bad by any means.

I'm not seeing much to be dissatisfied with otherwise. Other than Dodd and a couple of one year deal guys in Sly and Cyprien (who has been injured), everyone signed or drafted has been a solid starter, contributor, or flashed potential. And we are winning most of our games. That's great work, IMO.

If you took a hard look at every teams draft, you could criticize every single team in the league the exact same way. For every Kareem Hunt, there's a no name bust in the first.

The important thing is to get players who start and contribute and stay on the roster. We've actually been doing that the past few years, so I'm definitely not complaining at all.

We were 9-7 last year. We’re 4-3 at the break. Just a bit above average.. Like JRob has been.

You can’t reference the record as is credential and then state than slightly above .500 is great.

At best we can see he slightly above average thus far, like the record. And that’s what I’ve consistently been saying. If and I mean IF we see great play out of Corey Davis and we make a playoff run this second half, and if Johnson and Dodd suddenly become studs, then I’d say hell yeah JRob is great. But tap the breaks dude, the record you reference says what I’ve been saying and that is he is slightly above average.
