During that stretch of 5 years or so, we won more games that anyone in the league for that stretch.

Bring those results back and the fans will be willing to yell so much they can't speak on Sundays.

So I'm guessing no one heard Quadry Ismail this morning on 104.5 talking about Adelphia Coliseum back when he was playing with the Ravens during our golden years? He said that out of all the stadium he played in, Adelphia was the loudest. He went on to say that it got so loud at those games that a lot of times he had to lip read what Trent Dilfer was saying because he couldn't hear the play call. Then he went on to say that when they broke their huddles, they had 2 plays they could audible to, and that he sometimes had to guess which one it was because he couldn't hear the audible call.

I was listening too. I want us to get back to that kind of energy. Something that we have been lacking for far too long.

Just like I said- that is impressive. Historically, at least over the past 5 seasons or so, we haven't been winning at home. Fan support/game attendance starts by re-establishing a winning home percentage.

We're still 4-3 this year. One of those wins was a "scrape-by" OT win over a win-less team. We blew the playoff chance last year by getting blown out by a division rival that was at the time a 1 or 2 win team- can't remember exactly.

I'm not willing to say this team is built and performing like winners until I see more consistency. This Sunday is a key game. At home. After a bye. It will be a big indicator what this team is made of. As will next week's follow-up game at home against the Bengals.

I've been a fan of the franchise and a season ticket holder for a long time. I've seen spurts of excellence but nothing consistent in the past 15 years.
