Sam Cassell has been crap this entire postseason. Stick a fork in him, he's done. Rondo is going to get exposed by Derek Fisher this series I predict. Remember all of those pick pocket steals he had against Deron Williams in the Utah series? I expect more of the same against Rajon. Big Baby Davis has had his minutes jerked around so much it's hard for him to know if he's going to actually get consistent playing time, just another result of Doc Rivers' "coaching by feel". James Posey is the ONLY consistent player they have coming off the bench.

Ok, so let's say the Celtics put Pierce on Kobe. Who's guarding Odom? Ray Allen? Odom will post him up all day. Garnett? Yeah he may be able to handle Lamar, but that leaves Perkins all alone on Gasol in the middle.

I think you're underestimating the value of Radmonivich in this situation as well. He plays almost exclusively on the perimeter, which will take away one of the Celtics' shotblockers from the middle, most likely Garnett because he's athletic enough to hang on the perimeter. So Kendrick Perkins better be ready to play the series of his life.

bigred, you say posey's the only consistent guy off the lakers bench who has been consistent off the lakers bench? And gasol can't dominate any big man down low, he's not that type of player. Perkins is not a featured player in boston he's just supposed to play his role.

While Perkins isn't near Gasol, he has been a key player for Boston through the series.

He's shooting 58% averaging over 7 points and 6 rebounds in 26 minutes of play this playoff series.

Luke Walton for one, who has averaged 7 points per game in the playoffs so far, which is better than any bench player for the Celtics, including Posey. Sasha Vujacic is averaging 8 points per game in the postseason, once again better than anyone on the Celtics bench. Then you have Jordan Farmar chipping in 5 points per game, better than anyone other than Posey on the Celtics bench.

And I wasn't just talking about Gasol when I said that Perkins better be ready to play the series of his life. If Garnett is going to be out on the perimeter on Radmonivich, then the middle of the lane is going to be open for Kobe. That's unless Kendrick Perkins steps up.

Each player plays a role to help the team. Cassell is supposed to come in when Rondo is having some bad minutes, Davis when Perkins gets in foul trouble, etc. So far each player has played his role. If the C's play like they did in the east finals then the C's will win.

Yeah if they play like they did against a Detroit team that had an injured Billups for the entire series and an injured Hamilton for the last game. Whoopty Doo they finally won two games on the road against an undermanned Pistons team. I'm sorry if i'm not impressed. On the other hand, the Lakers swept Denver on the road, won a close out game in Utah (against the team with the best home record by the way), and won a pivotal game 4 against the defending champs. Overall, the Lakers are 4-3 on the road in the playoffs, and undefeated at home. I'll take those numbers against the historically strong Western Conference over a team that got taken to seven games by the Hawks.

Yeah Hamilton sure was hurt wasn't he? While maybe the C's did overlook the Hawks they had to go through Lebron and then against the Pistons who have made it to the East. Finals the past 6 years. It may not be as impressive but the C's sure did look good against the Lakers in their 2 wins in the regular season.

Boston was 35-6 at home while Utah was 37-4. Not that much of a difference. Boston had a much better road record though. Boston only has 1 loss at home in the postseason and hold home court advantage.
