Walton played good against denver (worst defensive team in the league) and has been terrible the last two series. Vujacic shot 31% during the spurs series and farmar's shooting 35% for the playoffs. This guys are good players during the regular season but do you really trust them with kobe bryant out of the game in the nba finals?

You could use that same logic against the Celtics. James Posey shot 34 percent against the Pistons. Sam Cassell has shot 24 and 23 percent respectively against the Cavs and Pistons. Eddie House is shooting 25 percent for the playoffs. Big Baby shot 25 percent against the Pistons.

But back to the Lakers bench. Honestly, I don't trust Jordan Farmar right now for anything. Luke Walton I would trust, and Sasha Vujacic is good for a few threes each time he comes in.

As long as the Big 3 are on their game, their invincible. The bench doesn't put up the stats because ther starting 5 are the main players for them. They don't have a #6 guy they have a bench that needs to kill 4 minutes so that starter can come back in. Rondo and Perkins have stepped up big time in the postseason, in some cases Rondo and Perkins is their bench.

phil jackson trusted them in game 5 against the spurs and paid off.

farmar's game has been getting better in the past 5-6 games because he hasn't had to play against guys like allen iverson and deron williams. i think he'll continue to ascend because he's quick enough to guard rando and he won't have to worry about his jump shot.

i also think derrick fisher will give rando fits.

I'm not arguing that the celtics bench is a lot better than the lakers by any means. All i'm saying is the lakers bench isn't good. It's not a bad thing it doesn't mean they can't win. These teams are all about their 3 main players and that's what it will come down to. And for the guy who said the phil jackson trusted those 3 in game 5 of the spurs game they went 6-16 (not counting vujacics last 3). If that's one of their good games that could be a problem.

Lakers bench was terrible last series and they actually beat the 2nd best team in the NBA.
Surely the bench plays better against the team that struggles vs teams like the pistons and cavs.

oh - and ARIZA should be 100% now. Keep an eye out.

Ariza won't do anything. Lakers fans think this guy is an all-nba caliber player or something.

Ariza couldn't get it done as a player in the main rotation in GS. How will he play well when he's at the end of the bench?

No, we think he's a great bench player. And he IS. He's the laker's best bench player, and yes - that says a lot for him considering the depth.
