Because they were just so damn good with Collins throwing the ball the other night?

I have to go RollTide on you and ask "what the hell are you talking about?"

Young made six pass attempts. He completed three.

    Crumpler completed for 11.
    Hall completed for 5.
    Incomplete to Crumpler.
    Complete to Crumpler for 1.
    Incomplete to Gage.
    Incomplete to Jones.

Just how is Young passing so poorly here? The pass to Gage was not bad. Gage didn't finish. The incomplete to Crumpler was a throw-away. The deep pass to Jones was overthrown but I don't remember Jones being open on the play.

I don't understand being critical of Young based on six attempts. If you've been to camp, you've seen Young be inconsistent at times but a lot better than what I remember his first two seasons. I think we'll see significant improvement from him this season with these WRs.

Ealy and Paul Williams looked especially bad I thought.

Paul Williams was the worst show of the night, in my opinion. Ealy at least showed some promise, though I still don't know if he'll make the team.

An NFL receiver HAS to know where the sideline is. It is inexcusable for Ealy to stretch his left foot/leg TO the sideline simply to keep his balance. He knows to make the the catch, then get yards. He had a bad night.

    P. Williams is a head case. He had an inexcusable miss through his hands when he was wide open. He did come back and make a nice square route catch over the middle a play or two later.

I can't remember exactly when in the game it occured, but there was a play that really disappointed me further in Williams.

It seemed the play was called for the ball to be thrown to Williams regardless of anything else happening on the field. Think Collins was in. Williams did a little half assed move like he was going to cut right, then sort of half assed it and turned inside, the DB was never even remotely fooled, and the ball was thrown almost more towards the DB with Williams somewhat breaking up the INT. But what worried me was his lack of trying to get open, or make a solid cut, it just looked awful and stood out to me.

We're going to be having this conversation all year:irked: If we switched QBs with the Colts, Peyton Manning would make household names of Gage, McCareins and the rest of these guys. Marvin and Reggie would die in reciever hell(Nashville).:hmm:
