The Texans are up to fourth overall in the league's offensive ratings and Houston has had the most prolific offense in the NFL over the last five weeks.

Since the Texans' Sept. 28 overtime loss at Jacksonville, they are averaging 410 yards per game. That's better than New Orleans, which ranks as the NFL's best offense this season. The Texans are 3-2 in those games, in which it should be pointed out that they faced defenses ranked an average of 27th in the NFL.

Houston's next opponent, Minnesota, is giving up 23.9 points a game, so the Texans expect to maintain their production. A week later against Baltimore (15.7 ppg), it will be more difficult.

    Texans scare me.

if they have a smart draft they gonna be out next contender in the AFC South.

They need someone in there with Mario Willimas, isnt Suggs a free agent after this season? they need a TE, dude from KC would be great. and they need another WR to take double teams off of Andre Johnson.

Texans would be a high power offense and defence.

Anybody else think it would be fitting if for the next five years the Texans chase us kind of like we chased the Colts the last five? All this while the Colts and Jags are relegated to fighting over the basement.

Ha that would be hilarious, but I dont think the Colts will ever truly hit basement until Manning is no longer the QB...I mean as much as I hate to say it due to my dislike of Manning...I cant see the guy having horrible years at the end of his career...but who knows things could go full circle for the Colts.

    hahahahahahaha

are you serious?? We've been thinking they were improving for 3 years now to be contenders. It's just not working. They could have the #1 pick the next 10 years and would still suck.

I'd love for the Texans to be a runner up wild card play-off team while the Colts and Jaguars win 4-8 games a year each. I've thought about that happening for some time now. Perhaps in a few years it may happen. I think a re-emergence of the Colts is more likely than a surge out of Houston though.

Owen Daniels is a good bordering on excellent Tight End. They don't need one.

Having the #1 pick 10 years in a row would kill a team. Think of the cap, the egos, and they aren't guaranteed.

Anyway, they just need to figure out who can be their QB. They also need one or two more pieces on defense, but that is about it.
