So is there actually wind in the stadium?

I find it a bit silly considering it is indoors...

And yes there was quite a bit of wind. Hurricane Ike took off parts of Reliants roof.

So they have to keep the roof completely open. This is how it was yesterday.

Hardly. I sit in the Bull Pen about 3 rows back in the North endzone (Bironas would have been kicking right at us). I looked at the flags all day long. Occasionaly they would lightly move in the breeze. Reliant is still relatively closed in so there were not 25mph gusts like they're were outside the stadium. With that said I have seen Bironas make several kicks , so I was shocked that Fisher didn't attempt the kick.

Bullcrap what?? Are you suggesting that there was a strong wind, especially in the North endzone, where I sit in Row C (the direction Bironas would have been kicking). Where I also watch Bironas hit an NFL record 8 in one game??

If that's what you're calling bullcrap, back at ya. I know there are a few posters here, that will absolutely take me at my word. Truth is in pregame, Bironas' kicks were coming up short - non-wind related.

I'm not buyin any of Fisher's bullsh*t. The guy hit a 51 yarder with plenty behind hit earlier yet Fisher thinks a 49 yarder was out of his range? The is same guy who kicked a 60 yard field goal outdoors i might add to win a game with more of a breeze then inside that mickey mouse stadium. Fisher expects us fans to believe that nonsence which no one is buyin. Fisher needs to admit that he was going for the kill and it backfired. I'll accept that, but dont sit up at your press conference and feed the fans and media horse sh*t about wind and everything else.

Mickey Mouse stadium?? Yeah.... okay. Whatever. The house that Bud built is no prize.

BUT: (with all the poison darts aside) I agree with the rest of your post though. Fisher made a bad decision albeit a rare bad decision. As I had mentioned, Bironas was coming up short in pregame warm-ups but he's pro-bowl kicker with a big leg when it counts.
