That's blasphemy around here, guy. Watch out.

Anyway, back to your original post, I pretty much agree with everything but addressing the C position. I thought Harris did a pretty good job yesterday and will eventually be the starter there.

I've done a little more research about this this afternoon and I'm not at all sold on Harvin as a WR, so much so that I really don't want him. To me he's a running back who can play wide receiver not a wide receiver who can also play running back. 9 of his 11 games this year he caught 3 passes or less. To me, that's nothing to spend a first round pick on. Now one guy who could be there is Darrius Heyward-Bey. I think he's a project but one with a ton of upside and he is worth the first round pick to me.

Another guy I would consider for the first round is Alphonso Smith the corner from Wake Forest. I doubt he would be there but it's possible.

Other receivers I was looking at were Juaquin Iglesias and Mohammed Massaquoi. To me unless we want another Justin Gage then I would pass on both of them. I wanted to like these guys but I couldn't. Not to be a homer but Brian Robiskie is interesting to me as is Demetrius Byrd. Both seem to have problems with drops but both can stretch out the field and both have nice upside. I think for a 3rd round pick those guys are worth a look. Again, I also like Marko Mitchell but I mentioned him above.

Finally I was looking at quarterbacks. Freeman is interesting but I'd like to see how he does in the combine. I doubt Sanchez comes out, if he does I would love him. I also doubt Stafford or Bradford fall far enough that trading up for them becomes possible (but maybe). If we don't get a shot at Sanchez or Stafford or Bradford than I like Rhett Bomar as a 2nd round pick. I just really love the sound of his positives: http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/qb/Rhett-Bomar.php Too me those positives have all the makings of a good QB. I've not seen him play (can't really watch Sam Houston games) but from what I saw of him at OU he looked like he could turn into a Phillip Rivers type QB. Another QB to take a look at (again not to be a homer) is Todd Boeckman, maybe as a 7th round pick or free agent. Now I really didn't like Boeckman in college but he could be a better pro player. He does have size and arm strength. He will be a bit of a project but he's a low risk player who's worth a look.

If there is any chance that Smith slips to us, I really think he'll be the selection.

He's been my projection since the start of the season.

He is just too much of a fit for Fisher to pass on in my view. He is a tough little SOB, who is great in run support, plays the ball well in the air and can contribute on special teams.

Harris showed enough in his second start to make me fill comfortable post-Mawae at center.

I see us going LB/CB in the first few rounds.

J Gage is the most underrated reciever in the game. I hope we can keep BJ as well.

I would guess he's done forever, but I would like to see him back at camp next year. If Mike Williams gets a shot, Roydell should.

Yeah, it sounded like he had a year long recovery period, but I didn't get the impression that he was done forever...

He was really turning it on at in 07...
