Yeah. My favorite player since I was about 10 years old. But injuries have really held him down. He'd be known as the best ever without the injuries.

But the only time I've watched baseball in the past 10 years or so was when the Tigers did well about 3 seasons ago. Only start watching in the playoffs. Can't be bothered to watch 1,898,798 innings a season that drag on slower than a golf game.

I agree. All these people who are so outraged over this crack me up. There's 103 other people on that list who we don't know who they are. I mean if someone like David Ortiz was leaked would anyone be shocked? Besides this happened so long ago who really cares?

Interesting, but if you see a picture of me at 18-20 years old versus 30- you'd think I was on 'roids also.

Sosa was raked over the coals after his congressional appearance where he acted like he didnt even know English. McGwire is being kept out of the HOF, despite easily having HOF #s. I wouldnt venture to guess Sosa will be kept out of the hall as well when he is eligible. Palmeiro never played again after the 05 season, when it was found out he lied to congress. My point being, Bonds hasnt been singled out at all. Sure, some of the less popular players havent gotten as much criticizm, but I think that is natural for the media and fans to care about the big name players more than the average players. But, Sosa, Palmeiro, McGwire, and certainly Clemens, have all gotten the same type of treatment as Bonds.

Sort of, but ultimately, Bonds is the only person facing prison time. Public humilation is rough, but prison time, that is a whole nother ball game entirely. And Bonds is the only one facing prison time.

I still love baseball. I think the clean up is going to help the game and even the playing field.

I counted the MVP's and Cy Youngs from the highly probable category:

That is unbelievable. 21 out of the last 46 MVP awards are pretty much guaranteed to have been awarded to users. 29 out of the last 92 awards, almost 1/3, definately tainted and won by steroid users.

A littler asterick, Canseco was right again. He called out A-rob publicly a long time ago. Dude may be a joke, but he was the guy who may have saved baseball by laying the truth out there. The irony of that is too much to handle. But great story. It's like catch me if you can. Nobody wants him to be the hero. But he's going to be.

""Following yesterday's game, Torre was disappointed to hear of Canseco's comments and expressed concern about how much an impact they might have on A-Rod when the book is published.

"You worry about anything like that, because unfortunately, when people see it in print, they add credence to it. That's the sad part about it," Torre said. "It's a shame, because when you play this game, you'd like to believe you play with some kind of respect. Obviously, Jose needs the money."""

Jose Canseco was interviewed by ABC’s Nightline news show and refused to produce any evidence to back up his claim that he introduced Alex Rodriguez to a steroids dealer. “The timing’s not right,” he said.

“Let’s see how Alex reacts to this,” Canseco said. “Let’s see how Alex reacts. Let’s see if they call me a liar again. How’s that for you? Let’s see if all of a sudden they’re gonna call me a liar again.”

Rodriguez has yet to respond directly to Canseco’s charges. Team officials said during the day that they expected a statement to be released. But as of now, that has yet to happen.

I loved how A-Rod, in the Katie Couric interview, picking Bond's over Aarron as home run champion adamantly. And of course he goes on to say, no, I have never used steroids. Love it. Good liar though.

I don't think he was forthcoming at all. Every apology has a slight hedge in it. There is more truth to uncover here. But at least he's willing to admit he did something.

MLB should have a day where anyone can admit steroid use with no penalty. That would be a fun day. I bet a lot of them would come clean to get it over with, and so they would not be alone when doing it.
