So, a recent argument between two Titans fans got me thinking about my all time favorite movies. I thought I'd start a thread for us to list our top 10 (in order or out of order, whichever you prefer). This way, its easier to judge each others intelligence and sophistication.:grrhee:

    Here's mine (in no particular order);

    The Red Violin
    Se7en
    Ferris Beuller's Day Off
    High Plains Drifter
    Unbreakable
    The Usual Suspects
    Finding Nemo
    Unforgiven
    The Shawshank Redemption
    The Empire Strikes Back

I like your list, and I will tell you why.

When people make Top 10 favorite movie lists, a lot of a-holes go all pretentious with it ... naming movies we've never heard of or like 4-5 foreign films. I like how you put Bueller on your list. Great movie, I don't care who you are.

I don't feel like narrowing it down to ten, but here are the first ones that come to mind:

    Pulp Fiction
    Memento
    Almost Famous
    Annie Hall
    Star Wars (4,5,6)
    Jerry Maguire
    The Wrestler
    Back To The Future

I have a lot more than that. But those are some of my faves.

Rating is from the internet movie database IMDB. The top rated movie on IMBD is rated 9.1..

    1. Doctor Zhivago 8.0

    2. Once upon a time in america 8.4

    3. The Godfather 9.1

    4. The Godfather 2 9.0

5 Once upon a time in the West 8.8

    6. Casablanca 8.8

    7. Pulp fiction 9.1

    8. Schindlers list 8.9

    9. Unforgiven 9.0

    10. The good, the bad and the ugly 9.0

From the list you can see i like gangster films and westerns and i really dig sergio leone. They are also very long very involved films. I thought it would be nice to have a list of more modern films from the 90s on that are not too long so here they are.

    Sideways
    Fight club
    Reservoir Dogs
    Usual suspects
    Shawshank redemption
    The departed
    Road to perdiction
    Philadelphia

    Favorite sports film-rocky
Favorite romantic comedy-It happened one night

I also love the 1950s hitchc**k mysteries with jimmy stewart..vertigo, reear window and rope.

I want to add a dark horse to my list. Gmitts mentioned Rounders, which is a great movie ... but have you guys seen Boiler Room? That's a great movie as well.

    It's similar to Rounders.
