Yeah but with Billy Bob Thornton which ruined the whole experience.

Just got back from watching it and agree with some of what you said.

It was poor and implausible that there were so few Terminators on the ground.I expected at the very least that Skynet would be over run with them.

I thought both Yelchin and Worthington stole the film but everyone was let down by a piss poor script.Like Star Trek and Wolverine there were lots of holes and weaknesses in the plot but I thought Terminator had a lot more to like about it than either of those films.

There were some nice touches. The soundtrack was very good and in keeping with T1 and T2. The 'I'll be back' line,'Come with me if you want to live',Arnold if only in CGI and even how he got the scar that we saw him with at the end of T2.

I'm not a McG fan but I thought he did a nice job compared to the awful T3. The rewrites during filming was never a good sign and a good effort was thus let down by that. Too many of the scenes didn't flow into each other very well.

One scene with Marcus and Blair even jumped as if we'd missed something.

Overall though I still enjoyed it and rate it better than Star Trek.

I just saw that trailer and... holy crap. It's worse than Will Smith's Wild Wild West, 2000's Godzilla (In Name Only), Van Helsing and League Of Extraordinarily Dull Gentlemen all rolled into one. Once again some fatcat Hollywood producer with a stupid ponytail is puffing a big cheap cigar while taking a big whizz on the heads of the audience.

I was literally sitting there with my jaw open when I saw it and as it ended I added one word "terrible". It got a laugh out of the group in front of us. Seriously I could see a zombie Doyle emerging from his grave and hunting down all involved in the making of that movie. Now I would pay to see that!
