I'm going to have to bump Forgetting Sarah Marshall from my list and replace it with The Hangover.

Big ups to nominations for Death To Smoochy and Memento :applause:

Nobody has mentioned Arthur or Being John Malkovich yet.

I had expected Being John M. to be followed up with a rush of great movies. He's kept to his lower profile, however, and I respect that. I didn't like Adaptation, but not due to the directing choices. I'm VERY excited to see how he handled Where the Wild Things Are... trite, but it was my fav book growing up. It has the potential to be amazing.

Hmmm... this list could alternate any day. Other than the top 5, the rest can pretty much fall in anywhere... like them all about the same.

    1. The Fall
    2. Crash
    3. City of God
    4. Meet Joe Black
    5. American History X
    Primal Fear
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
    Tombstone
    se7en
    The illusionist

Annnd...The Princess Bride, Snatch, Hot Rod, Forgetting Sarah Marshall (I'm with you, RSB), Green Street Hooligans, Boondock Saints, 300, Fight CLub, Catch me if You Can, Pursuit of Happyness, Shawshank Redemption, Cinderella Man, The Departed...

I always suck at these lists because I'll forget some of my top favorites.

That's one of the few books I truly remember from my childhood. None of my friends have heard of it... sounds like they had crappy childhoods because that book is the :grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr:!

I'll definitely be seeing the movie. I'll just have to find someone to go with. None of my friends will want to see it.

A romantic comedy from the 80's than won a bunch of Oscars. Dudley Moore stars as Arthur, a playboy millionaire in NYC with a HUGE drinking problem. Soon to be wed in an arranged marriage to a woman he can't stand, mayhem ensues when he falls for a poor, shoplifting waitress from Queens (Liza Minelli). Sir John Geilgood is absolutely hysterical as Arthur's irritable butler.

Originally, Richard Dreyfus was cast for the starring role, but backed out. Moore turned out to be totally born for the part... nearly all his lines were ad-libbed, and I still laugh to tears at it after 15 viewings.
