Can't we just skip the states that are too awful to even make fun of? or we can just lump Nebraska, Wyoming, Delaware, Maine, The Dakotas, and Montana together?

I've been to all those states and the only one I'd call awful was Nebraska and even downtown Omaha was pretty cool. Maine is beautiful all year round and Montana is just plain magnificent..

    Home to Stephen King.

Often unfairly referredto as merely a horror writer but IMO one of the greatest wordsmiths ever.

I was once stuck on a plane from Manchester UK that landed in Maine to refuel.

It was July and hotter than a than peppered fart.

We were cooped up like sardines and not allowed to leave the plane as it sat baking on the tarmac for almost 3hrs with no air conditioning running. Not a great way to visit Maine.

did you get in to any gunfights in Montana, CC?

Maine....hmm. Maine. Could I have the definition please?...

I've got nothing. There's a band called The Maine?

Don't know if they're from Maine though. Probably not, considering people know who they are.

Seriously? This from the guy from Indianna?

It's a gorgeous state. Go there in the summer, hit an ice cold lake.

Maine is a great place, very beautiful. My mother in law lives there on 200 spectacular acres. Her house is on a lake close to where On Golden Pond was filmed.

Someone said it's the home of the Patriots? That's not true, they play in Mass and not all Maine people follow Boston sports.

Even though my wife moved there when she was 2 years old, and her brother and sister were born there, they aren't considered true "Mainers".
A true Mainers family goes back generations there, and they have a very unique accent and most have a very dry sense of humor.

Lately Boston people have been looking to move there, to escape the city. My mother in law says she gets constant offers to sell her land so they can build subdivisions. She refuses to.
Her water comes from a well, and it is crystal clear and ice cold out of the tap in the summer. You could bottle it and sell it down here.

If you like the outdoors and thought of living in Alaska, you'd be better off in Maine. It has many small towns that haven't been spoiled or run over by corporate chains yet. They often get a moose walking down main street in the small town near my mother in law...

This shows how different people are. I'd die if I had to live in an abandoned looking town with only hills and trees. Plus, the minute I saw a moose- I'd pack my stuff and move.
Maine is probably a great place to live, if you're an animal. Otherwise it's probably about as boring as a place could be.
