Has anyone on Xbox Live played this?

It's actually pretty fun if you're playing with some friends. It is completely free and it's in the Game Marketplace section... second tab to the right.

I don't know all of the details, but it's apparently just a beta as of right now. On weekdays you can play Extended Play which is available 5:30 'til 11:00, I believe. On weekends there is a two hour live game in which you can compete for Microsoft points and soon you can compete for other prizes like a home theater system.

If you haven't tried it yet, you should. It's a good family/friend game. You can test your (random) knowledge with it, and you'll get to see which of your friends is a complete moron. Plus, you'll get great laughs out of idiots missing very simple questions. The questions range from very simple to very tough over the course of the game.

Usually there are around 15,000 people participating in each game. Sometimes there's up to 25,000-30,000 when the live games come.

I played it. Loved it. Good time.

But I think there is still the feeling that "I will never be part of the 100." They do a good job of making you feel a part of the game somewhat by throwing you into the audience, talking live about the contestant, and what not. But somehow they need to up the odds of getting into the 100 or being the one. That's really why we play. We want that satisifaction of being in the game. That or they need to involve the audience more directly somehow.

This gameshow thing could be huge though. They've got a great market and use for the avatars right out of the gate.

I've played it a lot. I'm usually getting about 110,000 each play which is enough to beat my group for the most part. But I'm nowhere near the guys at the top getting like 150,000. Got 16 in a row for my record, but think I could do more if I skip questions and all that.

I still don't get the scoring, because the skip doesn't seem to amplify all that much. It seems like you are better off just trying to guess the answer to get the 6k points than to skip a tough question.

Like the game though. I think this is a big step forward in gaming. Women can definately get into this game.

    It's not that hard. Seriously.

Use deductive reasoning and you'll get at least 70% of the questions right. Don't worry too much about speed... answering correctly is more important. You have six seconds to answer. Just think.

Yea... I feel the same way too. I keep thinking I have a chance at making the mob, then my hopes get completely shattered. One day... one day.

It's surprising how horrible most of the mob members are (and the ones as well).

Women can get into it, but they'll still suck! ;)

By the way, what's your gamertag? I'm on vacation in Florida right now, but I'll start playing once I get back.

i do think about the questions, but a lot of the questions i had were about other countries that i know nothing of. had some soccer questions. who watches soccer in the US? i think they need to divide the countries and players with their own set of questions.
