You don't see the difference in "book learnin'" intellect and common sense? I don't think Pacman had/has an ounce of common sense and, when a violent attitude is mixed in, has lead to the numerous amount of garbage which has him now out-of-the-league and possibly headed to prison.

Young is a rich kid who hasn't acted much different than most of us would at his age with his money. He's immature and has been babied all his life. But what bad situations? Photos at a party? Participating in a rap song? Doesn't carry himself well in front of the media?

Apples and oranges compared to the idiot Pacman Jones is.

Young isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but there's a huge difference in my book between the two.

Well said, TJ, I was just about to make the same distinction between intellect and common sense.

There are plenty of players around the league that are under the same microscope VY is. The difference is they know how to go out and have fun without drawing the wrong kind of attention. Nothing happened that night which is fine but the situation could of easily turned into something bad which is my point.

B F D! Marino scored a 9 on his. :irked:
Oh, and it was a 7 not a 6. Then he took it again and scored a 16. McNair scored a 15 on his.
Stop brining up Wonderlic scores. It's tired.

He scored a 6. A 16 is still bad, if you've ever witnessed how easy the test is. But he's also known as the guy that was uncoachable at a college level and had to have the offense dumbed down for him.
He's also the guy that can't handle boos, read a playbook, party with his shirt on, speak correctly, etc.

TJ- neither have any bit of common sense or intellect. I think that's obvious. Neither seem book smart, nor common smart.
Again, one just had a terrible attitude and was wanting trouble.

Since it's so obvious, how about citing some examples of how Young has not shown common sense? We can do that in a heartbeat for Pacman.

For those actually interested in the thread topic, here's part two of the series:

You can validly argue the part in bold all you want. I have no issue with that.
I'm just sick of people bringing up the Wonderlic score (it's moot), for reasons I've already mentioned above. A 16 is still bad, yet there are plenty of successful QBs who scored less than it. There are also QBs who blew the test out of the water (like Joey Harrington scoring a 35), who failed as an NFL QB.
A simple Google search (as I'm not going to do it for you) will confirm it.

Video shows Adam Jones in Vegas nightclub

Posted by ESPN.com staff

New court documents and amateur video help provide the clearest picture yet of what happened inside a Las Vegas strip club on Feb. 19, 2007, when Adam "Pacman" Jones showered scantily clad dancers with money. Just minutes after "making it rain," Jones was involved in a fight inside the club. A short time later, three people were shot outside the club.

Making it rain WITH NELLY (Nelly was the same guy at the club shooting with Pacman making it rain) not too long ago was a pretty good example of ZERO common sense.
Doing the Madden cover because "I don't believe in no curse" was an example. (sorry, by now it IS common sense. You just don't do it)

Partying half nude with a bunch of drunken wet guys... hmmm... nope. Most common folk would think 'this probably isn't a good idea'.

He scored a 6. You do the google search that shows me other players that did that bad.
Don't bring up that he scored a 16 on his SECOND chance. No one else took the test twice after bombing on it.
