Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (AP)

Michael Vick was conditionally reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday and could play in regular season games as early as October. Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games -- if he can find a team that will sign him.

    I wouldn't mind him...won't happen though.

This team needs to take more chances on players IMO..

Finally, now no more threads about when he might be back. Lets open the door to where he's going to play in October. I guess it wont be with the Falcons or the UFL.

We need a qb that can manage the game without alot of mistakes. That isn't vick.

I do not see Vick as a Titan. I think best-case scenario for the Titans is that some team picks up Vick and then releases their current QB, who the Titans pick up.

    Crazy theory time now:

Maybe it's due to where I live, but I'm hearing some rumblings that the Bills are interested in Vick. The people in Buffalo go nuts over any kind of star power (they are currently going through a totally ridiculous love affair with every moronic thing T.O. says or does), so I don't think there would be much PR backlash from the Buffalo fans if the Bills signed Vick. They would just be happy to have another recognizable name on their team. T.O. has recently come out and said that he's in support of Vick.

Plus, team owner Ralph Wilson is in his 90s and apparently wants to make one more "all-in" push for the Super Bowl before he dies. Vick on the Bills kind of makes sense.

If the Titans could somehow scoop up Trent Edwards for Ramsey and a 4th round pick (or something else of little value), I would consider that a huge win. I'd way rather have a young guy who could develop into a pure passer on the roster than another rushing QB with questionable pocket skills. We already have Vince Young and we all know how that worked out.

I understand people who say that he's fully capable of being an effective starter in the NFL, and the idea that he compensates for any lack of passing stats with his run game, but who in the world can make a decent argument that he had one of the best arms in the league? What can possibly support that?

Too many question marks for my taste, even setting aside the issue of if he should get the chance. Two years out is a LONG time without even practicing football.

Even with all that being said, it's a risky move, and we've got the roster to be successful without making one. It isn't Fisher's style, so it won't happen.

    Differing reactions to Vick announcement

<em>Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky</em> <p>Chris Johnson's been a lively user of Twitter (@ChrisJohnson28), drawing applause for being interesting and critiques over his punctuation and grammar.</p> <p>Neither were a factor in his recent tweet on Roger Goodell's verdict on Michael Vick, who got a conditional reinstatement and could be in uniform for an NFL game as soon as Week 6.</p> <p>Said Johnson's tweet:</p> <blockquote> <p>"THE NFL TRIPPIN THEY NEED TO LET MIKE VICK PLAY HE ALREADY BEEN IN JAIL 2 YEARS DAMN... &nbsp;IM UPSET"</p> </blockquote> <p>Meanwhile, at least one different take came from an AFC South player, Houston linebacker Cato June (@CatoJune50):</p> <blockquote> <p>"Congrats to Mike Vick."</p> </blockquote>

Wouldn't surprise me to see Buffalo sign Vick. What do they have to lose? It really would be an interesting offense with Vick, Lee Evans, TO, Marshawn Lynch when he gets back from suspension. Too bad the O-line would still be spotty, but hey... that would be pretty exciting lineup for O.

We should not sign Vick because we have a younger version in VY as our backup. VY should strive for 1000 yards, 8.0 average running the ball. Our better weapons should help out the turnover ratio.

If we want to spend anymore serious money, we need to do it on a 3rd CB.
