I really wanna see Lendale be a beast for us, I just don't like the fact that he hasn't had this attitude or concern for being in shape from the beginning. It's more than a coincidence that he slims up now, in the same year his contract's up, I mean come on.

He really is a diva, he wants to be a star. I'm all for that as long as it's here with us. However, if this guy thinks he's gonna get a max-money deal then he can hit the bricks. Him and CJ really do push each other which is great, but you can definitely tell there is also some friction.

Like 'I'm better than you' kind of stuff. CJ wants to go to the top and so does Lendale. If we can manage to work things out to where we get great production out of these guys and not have to break the bank in the process then we can have the best RBs in the game.

And I love the idea of that.

I've got a feeling that LenDale is going to be staying with the Titans for quite some time. I'm very, very excited (for LenDale) about this season. This season is the biggest one of his career. I hope he's not a Fat Albert though. I hope he continues being this dedicated throughout the rest of his career.

Five years from now, I believe CJ will no longer be with us. LenDale will be our starter. *hides in corner*

It is late right now, but I'm pretty sure I'm still coherent... I think. You can only be blazing fast for so long. Maybe it will be longer than five years, but he won't be a ten year back. Once he loses a step, there's no use in having him. If LenDale can stay at 228, I see him being our running back for the future. He's a bruising back, and I think he's more likely to be the durable back unlike CJ.

Again, I'll go hide in a corner. :scared:

I'm hoping that we don't franchise him, but give him a 1st round tender. It would be a lot cheaper, and if another team chose to pull the trigger, good for them, I'll happily take the pick for losing one year of Lendale.

You know something, I agree with you that LenDale could be with the Titans for a long time. And the more and more I get to know Chris Johnson the less and less I like the guy. Much like his buddy Chad Ochocinco off the field he's not so likable. When Eddie George retired and we didn't have a stud running back for a couple of seasons, I felt the drafting LenDale White was the best pick the Titans made since Keith Bulluck. So since I feel this way I would love for us to retain LenDale after this season. Chris Johnson and his goals are great if he hits them, but running a 4.2 40 cant last forever. What is C.J. without speed? I know what he is and it probably looks a lot like Dominic Rhodes. Whats so desirable about that?

    Wow. :sad2:

I personally love that quote! Sounds to me like Lendale is giving it his all this year, and won't be satisfied with less than a Superbowl win. I only wish all our players viewed the season this way instead of "my goal is to win the MVP" or some such. Either way, its great to see Lendale this motivated. He's been a very good back for us regardless of the criticism, I'm excited to see this half of our RBBC want to take his game to the next level.

pfft. say it a couple of time aloud.

"My long-term goals are to win now."
"My long-term goals are to win now."

What were your long term goals when you were drafted?
So are we going to win now, or is it now that you are concerned with winning? In case of the former, how exactly is that long term?

It just really doesn't say anything.
or does long term mean "contract"??? :brow:

Personally, I'd rather see him guarantee 1000 yds and an average north of 4 yds/carry and double digit touchdowns, a playoff win and a Super Bowl berth...

I'm with what he's saying. I like LenDale alright. His choice of words just sounds kinda stupid. That's alright. I'm excited to see him play at his new weight.

I disagree with your opinion. To me it sounds like Lendale probably had other goals/priorities/concerns in the past. Now it sounds like he's ready to lay it all on the line, everything else be damned. That's how I take it, and since I'm also desperate to see the Titans win a Superbowl, I really like this quote.
