Guess we shouldn't be surprised considering our coach. I like it. http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2009/sep/08/hamilton-says-vols-working-usc-deal/ Wish it was sooner though.
Funny but just about every SEC team plays at least one good team out of conference every year. Such as Alabama playing Va Tech. Arkansas plays Tx A&M and Troy Auburn plays West Virginia LSU played Washington Florida plays Florida St. every year Georgia plays Georgia Tech every year Kentucky Plays Louisville every eyar S. Carolina plays Clemson every year Tennessee plays UCLA this year Vanderbilt plays Ga Tech this year These schedules are made literally decades ahead of time so some of the teams scheduled were better or worse when the schedule was made. For example Michigan playing ND which isn't near the opponent they used to be (or I guess fans at ND are thinking the same thing about Michigan). For what it is worth here is a strength of schedule list: http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/June09/DBJune9.html
We should also point out that Michigan plays cup cakes like Appy State...........oops, might have hit a nerve on that one.
I didn't respond to his comment earlier because I knew there'd be a slew of well made comments. Gloat, Gloat, Gloat.
Michigan is trying to play GEORGIA next year... for you SEC fans that tried to reverse the jab. Not that Georgia is good. They're not. They just get ranked due to being in the SEC, and prove that every year. And you can remember I said this- so when Michigan beats them, and I try bragging- you can remind me. Georgia sucks, so it's not a big deal. And not all are made decades ahead of time. Many are, but season openers and what-not aren't a lot of the time. and of all the teams listed above, very few are very threatening. Virginia Tech sucks and has sucked for awhile. No one understands why they're ever rated high. And Washington? Seriously? lol Troy?? Texas A&M?? West Virginia and Louisville??? Uhh... since when were any of these teams consistently good?
