It was not me but here's the new wikipedia entry:

Hodge has drawn ire from some fans and critics for his criticism of Titans quarterback Vince Young[1], but he has been proven correct on all accounts, because Vince Young proved to be a mental midget and the definition of "suck". The problem is Texas VY jock riders can't wake up and smell the odor of fail that surrounds Vince Young on a daily basis or recognize that he's one of the biggest busts in NFL history, so they just continue to bash a analyst who has been spot on with his criticisms of Vince Young since day one.

Call me crazy, but I don't see how anyone can agree with Hoge's statements about Vince and still call himself a Titans fan. It's a valid opinion if you think we have a better chance to win with Collins at the helm. I happen to disagree, but it's still a valid opinion. If you think the Titans would have been better off drafting someone else in 2006, that's a valid opinion. It's ludicrous, however, for any Titans fan to agree with someone who says Vince, whose stats are comparable to Collins' stats, gives us no chance to win and that we would have been blown out in all four games this season had Vince been the starting QB. That's a baseless opinion that is wholly without of merit. If you think it's insulting and a complete embarrassment to have Vince starting, you are not a Titans fan.

    CRAZY:)

Hindsight is always 20/20, but it's not our or Hodge's opinion of VY that matters. It's painfully obvious that neither his Head Coach or Offensive Coordinator(2nd I might add) believe he's capable of running this team. That holds a lot of weight with me, a guy who drafted and treaded out the growing pains of McNair, to pinecomb this dude speaks volumes to me at least.

PS. I didn't like Pacman either, does that make it hard for me to call myself a Titans fan?? NO!!!!

    Team first, not player!!

I don't think it's Fisher not believing Vince is capable, I think it's Fisher believing Kerry is more capable. Like I said earlier, I have no problem with someone holding that opinion. I think it's wrong, but there is still logic behind that view. Vince has essentially played two seasons in the NFL, has a good record as a starter, and played well enough to win Rookie of the Year award. For a Titans fan to say he sucks is ridiculous. It should be obvious that, even though his two seasons weren't good enough to warrant a spot in the hall of fame, Vince has played well and has a ton of potential.

Basically, my point is that fans of a team tend to build up their players and want them to succeed rather than tear them down and pray for failure.

PS. There's a difference between completely ignoring facts and saying a good player sucks and not liking a player for his activities off the field that are detrimental to the team.

I think Fisher is trying to justiy our $24 million Investment more than anything right now. Has nothing to do with Vince not playing right now. He is the Future whether anyone likes it or not, and next year in the draft we will "NOT" be looking for a QB in the draft. Bank on it!

Hog! If you say "Factorback" one more time, I'm going to hit you.

This is a VY post I can agree with. I don't think VY "sucks" and he has been somewhat comparable to KC. I think alot of the frustration and anger at VY is the attitude and the regression. He built up expectations and then crushed them the following year and one game. I also think he's learned he doesn't like getting hit in the Pros. Quad injury effects your speed, it shouldn't have effected the decision making of run or pass as much as people like to say it did.

But I do agree that you can't say we would have been blown out with VY as QB because you don't know and he hasn't been terrible. I just hope when he does play he shows that he hasn't continued the regression and maybe there is something there to work with...

Well then I guess I'm not a Titans fan. Sorry but we simply don't score enough when Vince plays. We struggled in the red zone, settled for field goals, and just never threw it down field.

For those who question Hoge's credibility how would he look if he thought VY was a stud and should never been benched? He would be a lobotomized retard without a job. Bottom line is Hoge was right then and now and the very fact fans are taking peeks at college QBs right now to see who would be a perfect fit for the Titans says it all.

How does that kid from Oklahoma look? Should we get him?
