I remember the original as being something of a tv event. It ran alongside the LA Oympics.

Not sure if we didn't get both mini series back to back in 84. Fried a lot of brain cells since then,I really don't remember. I spent a lot of time watching tv that summer.:ha:

    Looking forward to this redux.

iirc, the PILOT will run as 4 shows, then it goes dark until the end of Q1 2010

first 4 shows are esentially a mini-series then. Well fine.

It was broadcast at midnight last night.

I can definatly see the biblical references, they were not trying to hide them - lol

I enjoyed the show. Effects were good and at least something happened other than an hour of introductions.

Thanks for the info about the first 4 shows. On the upside they will probably rebroadcast them before they air the spring shows.

Dish has finally shown this on the local channel so I am now able to program all "V" and I will not miss any, won't be in HD though so If I have the chance I will watch it live

My "issue" with this show is that everybody calls them "V's". Everyone.

I like in the original how "V" was the rebel battle cry.

Yup! I'll probably get the originals on DVD as well. The new show is ok... too fast paced though. Movies and TV seem to be shying away from developing characters and jump right into a rushed story line.
