I'm considering starting up with a Netflix plan. Since we have a Blockbuster less than a 1/2 mile away, I've never considered Netflix. We also have Comcast On Demand which has new releases for $4.99.

Now that Netflix can stream to the PS3, I was thinking about giving it a try and wondered what others thought of them.

I've done Netflix through the mail. I always got my movies within a day or two. I like using Redbox myself.

Redbox is the best if you get to it before others with the same idea of a movie for a buck.

I've tried all these; Redbox, Netflix, Blockbuster Online, they're all about the same. I like the Blockbusters version of Netflix more because instead of waiting for the mail to come you could also swap them out in the stores.

I've got the 2 at a time plan, and I've been pretty happy with it.

The pros are that they a pretty large catalog, the recommendations based on our reviews have been pretty good. I like that you can add movies into your queue - I always used to forget any recommendations from friends... now I just pile them into my queue.

The cons are that they don't really get new releases quickly - so we tend to use On Demand for those, and I don't know if it technically works out to be worth the money if you add up how many movies we watch compared to if we just paid for each movie individually.

But we also watch a lot more now than we used to just because it has been easier... since you always have a couple movies lying around that are already paid for, instead of having to go out and pick one or scroll through a list of what's On Demand. So overall for us it's been worth it. They've been adding more and more movies to be able to stream online, which has made us think about getting a compatible DVD player.

Netflix is great, and get a Roku box for $79 to stream movies and TV shows to your TV instantly for no extra charge. You can also do it with a blue ray DVD player ($150) or a PS3. Along with streaming movies and shows with the Roku, they've added other channels for viewing your pics on a internet account on your TV, music channels, shows etc, as well as MLB, Amazon and lots of other stuff that is all included in your Netflix fee. I pay 14 bucks a month to get 2 movies at a time in the mail, in addition to all the other channels I mentioned thru Roku. I love it...

no to mention that if you have xbox live you can watch movies with friends on other accounts with chat enabled which is actually pretty cool

netflix is awesome. i'd recommend it to anyone.

you really only need the one disk per checkout unless you plan on trying to get caught up on a tv series or something like that.

Netflix is great and I'm familiar with Roku. I have a buddy who has the Roku set-up and because of it he's canceled tv programming service... however, I wouldn't recommend hopping to netflix just because of the streaming. At least not yet. The streaming is cool, make no mistake, but it's really just an indication of things to come. As it stands now the steaming library is very limited, but if you want to watch Blazing Saddles, Superman The Movie or Ghostbusters.. it might be just what you want.

Netflix is great, I've had the 3 disc per month plan for a couple of years now. Then last year I got a blue ray player that streams it, and that's even better. Between the regular service and the streaming, I can get what I need. Also, with streaming, if you don't care what you watch, but you want to watch something at last minute notice, you can browse and find something any time. I've enjoyed it. Totally worth my money.
