Time to clean house...

    In an effort to better our team, I have compiled a list of players/coaches I think we need to rid ourselves of in order to make a real run at a Super Bowl. Not that their departures will make the world of a difference, but shouldn't back-ups be half decent players waiting to be promoted? We employed a few dipsticks if you ask me. Even worse, we hire guys to suck.

    What's everyone's thoughts on the following personnel?


    Eugene Amano----Guard/Center - WTF is he still a Titan for? An O-line full of Pro Bowlers and this guy still gets a check
    Justin Gage-------WR1 - ha WR1 my butt, more like a forth option
    Kerry Collins----------QB2 - $5M.... Cut this guy already
    ???---------------------KR - when will we really make a move for a KR
    Dave Ball---------DE/right bench - this is a joke that he's a Titan
    Donnie Nickey---------??? - what exactly is his role here, this guy is cut on 37 other teams including college programs
    Chuck Cecil------Defensive Coordinator - No, no. He is many things, but DC isn't one of them
    Fred Graves------Wide Receivers Coach - you would never know
    Alan Lowry-------Special Teams "Coach" - don't even get me going on him


    Just post any comments you may have, as I'm interested in seeing what other fans think of these guys.

    of course only Evil Nickey is under contract. Hoping it stays that way and Nickey is cut right before TC

    Just dumping those dead bodies would be an improvement. You've got to be joking if you think a soul would miss those guys. I don't see why carrying dead weight is a good thing. If you sucked 6 years ago and its now 2010, then why are you playing and being resigned to the Titans? The Browns are a place for the Donnie's of the world.

    the same list can be made on every team.. Including the Saints, who just won the Super Bowl.. Not all of our backups can be all-stars. That's why they're backups.
    If we were paying Dave Ball Haynesworth-type money, you'd have an argument.

    And The Cardinals had a pretty expensive backup QB the year they went to the SB too.

    I know there's slots filled-in with who-ever's, but when the pool of talent is open for the taking... Why not get someone? We bring back Dave Ball before April.?.. Too soon. He would be suitable in August if we're in need. But not to make moves on better players is fishy if you ask me. Saving $300,000 is stupid considering what the better player could do.

    what's the difference if he's signed now or in august? i guess the ONLY difference is he had to sign with us in march and if someone else signed him we got a draft pick. sure, we could have let him hit the market and got nothing out of him or we could insure he's here and we have someone who knows the system and at least is a good training camp body.

    and i think we did bring in someone who could be better, or in the very least as serviceable as ball, in jason babin.
