    Yawn...

Name 5 specific things you look for (tools, athleticism, whatever you think are most important) in a top NFL CB prospect and show how Thomas DOESN'T have these tools but Haden and/or Wilson do.

    Good luck!

You know, more and more I watch Earl the more and more I think he could play CB.

As someone stated before: CORTLAND FINNEGAN played safety in college. Look at him now.

How about just ONE specific thing?

    1. The ability to play cornerback.

    Welp, He's out.

    Cortland Finnegan was fast.

    Cortland Finnegan actually has POP.

Cortland Finnegan plays like he's twice the size he is.

Cortland Finnegan is a TOTALLY different type of player than Earl Thomas.

Cortland Finnegan WANTS to hit people. He WANTS to be competitive.

Earl Thomas is Cromartie at best. He wants to shove a guy out of bounds. He wants to pretend he's going to hit someone then allow the rest of the team to do the work.

Earl Thomas plays like a girl. Much like Michael Griffin.

If you want him in run support, you're crazy. He'd get trucked by Darren Sproles.

    Um...

Is that the best ya got?

The ABILITY of playing CB is what I'm asking you to breakdown. Let's try this one more time...

The question was what 5 specific things are most important to a top NFL prospect and show how Thomas doesn't have them while Wilson and Haden do.

Where did you get all that? From your rectum? Thomas is not soft at all he just isn't a bob sanders type guy in the box.

Where are the cromartie similarities coming from?

    Your analysis is pathetic!

A lot is made of the game Thomas had against Alabama. Well watch this video highlight and see how many times #5(Haden) for Florida gets knocked on his arse or misses a play. In one play Richardson plants Haden with a stiff arm. In another Ingram runs right over Haden and on an off tackle play Haden is easily blocked for a Bama TD!

Notice how Julio Jones blocking Haden all over the field? You see a play and on the back side Haden is being shoved down the field.

Haden is the top Cb prospect but Thomas is a better tackler.

Where did I get that from? WATCH THE TAPE.

He's soft. He lets up before hitting someone pretty consistently. About the only time he actually does deliver a hit is when the receiver isn't expecting it (looking for a screen).

Gut- How many times do you want me to list those things?

    1. Speed.
    2. Instincts.
    3. Footwork.
    4. The ability to cover.

He's a ballhawking safety. Trying to play him at corner would be idiotic.

He's nothing that Nate Allen isn't, and he can be had in the 2nd or further.

    1. Speed (as good as the best CBs in the draft).
    2. Instincts (as good as the best CBs in the draft).
    3. Footwork (great feet, body control).
    4. The ability to cover (great instincts in coverage and great ball skills. The Titans also play zone which should be something he can excel in).

Thomas is really a better zone CB IMO than he is a S prospect. I might not take Thomas if we were going to strictly play man coverage. He can probably do it but there would be more of a learning curve.
