I dont believe in ZEN as a lifestyle (because I like having money and goods) but like Phil, I have been trying impliment ZEN principles into my everyday walk of life and it makes you see things in a different perspective.

I'm no ZenMaster, and probably never will be, but one principle of Zen is detachment, especially from your emotions. I think too much emphasis is put on emotions in sports and not instinct. Phil does a good job of balancing this with his players.

Well you said Jackson didn't coach up anyone so you've been proven wrong. He's not only coached up players but he's turned Bynum into as you say the best center in the league. So from high school to the best center in the league, you don't think that's coaching someone? You asked for a drafted player that's turned good and I gave you one now your not impressed, you crack me up. LA never drafts that low to get really good players anyway so most of the time they are lucky to get a bench player.

    Excuses excuses.

But it's so much more than that. Believe it or not there's more to Dwight than good defense and dunk.

No, he's not. I'm not even going to address this anymore because it's such nonsense. If were talking 100% healthy, Howard, Yao, Lopez, Jefferson, Duncan, Stoudemire it's so stupid to think it's Bynum, I'm not even going to keep going into it.

I didn't say I'd take 10 big men over Gasol I just said 10 players, way to read. You seemed to suggest Gasol was the second best player in the league (more nonsense) or did I misread this quote: "Where were you guys when Pau Gasol was in Memphis? Oh you don't remember the Phil Jackson that didn't have the TWO best players in the league on his team, do you?" Sounds to me like your calling Gasol a top 2 player in the league doesn't it? Which is why I said I'd take 10 players over Gasol, you then said name 10 big men I'd take. Don't try to mince words, defend what you said.

Not even, but that statement is truer than Pau Gasol being the 2nd best player in the league.

If you want to be technical about Bynum- to this point he's looked at as underachieving. So Phil coached a 7 ft monster to be almost as good as everyone expected him to be- great.

So why isn't Torre the best ever? He's the effing replica of Phil Jackson. Sit there. Let your talent win.

You said 10 players? Great. I said best big man in the league. So name more... and by 2 best players, I meant the best DUO in the league. Something Phil has never had to coach without.

Baseball is different. There's minimal coaching taking place during games.

Don't backtrack. YOU called Bynum the best center in the league and then said Jackson never coached any drafted talent, well apparently he has. But NOW your saying Bynum is an underachiever? I thought just a second ago he was the best center in the league. Which is it?

Baseball is different but nobody wins without talent. You seem to think people can. Could Jackson coach the Timberwolves to a title? No, but nobody could as they are now.

Gasol is a very good big man but he does have a tendency to play a little soft but I still don't get why you think why Phil has to win without talent. Besides, you don't think it takes skill to coach all those egos?

Gotta agree. There has never been an NBA coach that won multiple championships without great players. I don't see why you wanna ding Phil for having great players. Fact is that he consistently produces with the talent he has, which is more than we can say for most coaches. For the record, I would say Popovich and Sloan are both better coaches. But he's probably 3rd, which is pretty good considering those 2 are probably in the top 10 all time.

I actually kinda think Sloan is a bit overrated. Yes he is always in the playoffs, sometimes with sub par teams but never won it all. At some point you HAVE to wonder, when do we consider the fact that Sloan doesn't get it done in the playoffs? Not saying you fire him now or anything because the Jazz aren't a championship caliber team but if they can maybe keep Boozer and get another nice player and still can't reach the finals (staying healthy of course) it would make me wonder.

But IMO Don Nelson is easily the most overrated coach in the NBA. Golden State shouldn't be as bad as they are. Doesn't coach defense, AT ALL and I felt that the Warriors should have done better vs. Utah in the playoffs after beating Dallas, how could they not keep that momentum alive?

I'm pretty sure Lebron Dwade and Bosh stand no chance against the Zen Master? Is lebroom gonna hurt his elbow again? Will dWade twist his ankle... Bosh is no match against the likes of Gasol and Bynum. Nice try, heat. You might as well rename your team the Miami Fumes.

Lakers will extinguish the Heat this year. Kobe will put up 60 and Zenmaster Phil Jackson will quietly get another championship for his collection.
