Did anyone find out if we will get an compensatory draft pick if we dont sign Scaife or Moss?

    Swap CB for safety.

Depends. You won't find out until 3/4 weeks before the draft.

    Our biggest need is SS.

We don't get one for Moss, he's been in the league too long. Scaife depends on the contract he signs with his new team. Either way, we don't get those picks until the 2012 draft.

no i dont thinks so. chris hope is solid and is still one of the better SS in the nfl (not elite but solid) he will do for next year and if anything happens he has an expiring contract in 2012.

imo our biggest needs are at DT at CB. tony brown is 30, jason jones cant stay on the field, and haye/marks have been less than impressive. at CB courtland has been getting burt up and down the field this year and his contract expires in 2012 also so i figure if something happens to verner or mccourty than we should have a decent replacement.

Chris hope sucks, he moves like a linebacker, and hits like a punter.

I don't think safety is our biggest need, especially considering we drafted Robert Johnson last year (and Rolle). I liked Johnson at Utah, and I think he has the potential to start for us. Also, safety is thin in this year's draft. The only possible first round prospects are Deunta Williams and Rahim Moore. Williams benefited from a stacked UNC defense last year, and I think Moore is the better ballhawk of the two. Both are fringe first rounders anyway.

Maybe we can get one of the two in the early second.

Because we took Rusty last year, I don't think there's any way we take a QB in this draft unless it's to be the franchise guy, and that will be an early pick. If not a QB I think our biggest need is at DT or LB. I've not seen anything out of Marks to make me thing that he can be a dominant player, nor worthy of that 2nd round pick we spent on him. I really like Fairley out of Auburn but I think he has 1 more year (but he might decide to come out). Too bad this draft isn't going to be as deep defensively as last years.
