I am sorry, but the more I hear about Locker the less enthused about him I am. Then couple that with his performance yesterday...He is physically a beast, but his W/L record does not show me that it translates to the field.

I would not take him as a 1st rounder...but that is just me.

Locker is overrated due to being a big QB.

People thought "look another Tebow"... and didn't think much further about it- but still talked about him like he was great.

    Christian Ponder. Final answer.

    Duece, you really like Ponder?

I am really worried that we reach for Newton. I don't like Mallett or Locker. I am in love with Luck.

God I hope you are wrong. Marcel Darius I would be fine with...really want Akukamara though. I would rather us wait on a QB then take Locker or Newton in round 1. I have seen just as much out of Ricky Stanzi as I have Locker, and we can get Stanzi later on in the draft. I like Pat Devlin too. Outside of Luck, and maybe Mallett, there isn't a QB in this draft worth a top 15 pick, although someone will reach for Newton.

lol, not saying I want cam newton.. just saying, with our history of reaching on picks, that I have a weird feeling. I'd much prefer Marcel Darius, or any non QB that will be a playmaker with our first rounder. I think next year's draft is going to be more talent rich at QB, moreso if Luck stays for another year.

Only QB I would want is Luck (won't happen), Mallett, or Stanzi. Maybe the Missouri QB.

I'm starting to come around on Locker. I've read a ton about just how bad his team is and I'm starting to think there's something to it. Besides his college numbers are better than Cutler, even more wins. Lets see how he does in the Senior Bowl with top talent.

I agree about the talent around him, his WRs can't get open, and when they do they can't catch, and his oline can't block. If we drafted him we would need an offensive minded QB coach to teach him how to play. Someone like Gruden, who could bring in a guy like Rich Gannon in the offseason to work with him. He has to learn to go through his reads better. When I've watched him, it's been..look to first option, if it's not there he tucks it. That's a hard habit for a QB to break. Brian Shottenheimer has done a good job bringing Sanchez along, and there are many in the NFL who think he will be in line for a head coaching job this year, he may be an option as well. I have watched him and his talent is off the charts, but there is just something missing. Cutler would hang in the pocket and go through his reads, he lacked talent at Vandy, as does Locker. One thing I do love about Locker though is his toughness.
