. Whatever one thinks of Vince, the objective data says you were 0-6, the owner said to put him in, and you went 8-2. That doesn't necessarily mean Vince is the answer at quarterback.

I have heard this a lot of times. I know its true that Bud wanted Vince to start.I thought I remember Fisher saying Vince would play after the bye week, which is what happened. Those were some rough teams in that stretch and he probably figured Kerry's experience might help. Of course the secondary was depleted during that time.

. Collins still has arm strength, but it's going. That doesn't make him bad, but it does make him inconsistent: 1 good throw followed by 1 bad throw, or 2 good throws followed by 1 bad throw, or 2 bad throws followed by 1 good throw. He's a decent backup to try and salvage a couple of games a year due to injury, but no team that thinks of itself as a serious playoff contender should have him as a starter. If he's your savior in the wings, give up that delusion and get the data on Vince.

Collins has a couple injuries himself. He is old school and will not admit it. It was clearly shown in the last game that his finger was bandaged. When he gets good protection and some time, he is usually pretty good. But there is not much of a line this year or last. And when injured he is not very effective at all. Age and sitting on the bench will do that.

I dont think Fisher is all that high on Kerry, but more of a high on his experience. That being said, true or false I dont know, but I suppose he is better than whoever is left on the team. Fisher needed a win. WHy would he let Rusty play for experience if Fisher himself knows he probably will not be here next season.

I think the old dinosaur has wore out his welcome.

If your gonna throw facts around at least make them factual - corrections in bold.

fact is everytime 'the Diva' has been named starter he has gotten injured. That is just a fact. Sometimes, like his rookie season he played thru leg issues, but other times he would not.

Fisher made his own bed here...he's the one that made it his mission the last three years to avoid playing the player the Owner preferred for a position in favor of a past his prime re-tread QB who was happy to play offense as blandly and unimaginatively as Fisher prefers. The owner invested over $50 million $$ to provide the team with a high energy, entertaining style of football at the QB position and the coach was so wedded to his 1985 blue-print that he proceeded to waste as much of the $50 million as he could, and, of course, to accuse the young QB for not "accepting" the ill-fitting system without complaint. Yep, the problem was the "limitations" of the young QB.

And once AGAIN, a post that totally misses my point.

ONE MORE TIME: This has nothing to do with Fisher, with VY, with bed-making, with $50 Million, getting entertained, or 1985 blueprints. It has EVERYTHING to do with CHAIN OF COMMAND. I have explained this in God knows how many posts now...please refer to those for elaboration. When ready to respond to THAT POINT, feel free.

Except, apparently, a more than 10 year vet like Donovan McNabb, if you believe a word that comes out of Shanahan's mouth. Coaches spouting BS, its contageous.

Dude, if you are going to correct me, correct me correctly. LOL

The issue had to do with him being too injury prone and unable to stay on the field due to that.

    2006 - no missed games
    2007 - one missed game
2008 - 2-4 weeks was the projection at the time
    2009 - no missed games
2010 - Some on the staff didnt think he should continue to play, but a video on the Titan's website clearly shows a staffer saying Vince could still throw but would have to rely on his fingers, which he was good at doing. Fisher ignored that advice and took the other advice, which kept Vince out of the game. Obviously, the guy WITH the injury, Vince, believed he could still play and have the surgery when the season was over, thus the anger and confrontation post game. The surgery occuring a week or so later proves nothing, since there was no reason to delay the surgery to the end of the season since puttting him on IR ended it anyway.

You do realize Fisher has a boss named Bud. That is the chain of command, unless of course you think owners are just figure heads and the HC is the real power of the franchize. Hint, Bud can fire Fisher. Fisher is supposed to say how high when told to jump.

And the players work for Fisher (COACH)...see how the chain of command works.

Player has problem with coach. In a proper setting, the owner (Coach's boss) should publicly back coach, privately BLISTER the coach for his actions in the matter, then leave it to his team to resolve. However this did not happen here. Bud's "Coke song" statement threw Fisher under the bus.

I am done trying to explain this. Anyone who does not get this either 1. Has not been in a management position before, or 2. Is just blindly defending VY against anything that is not perceived as VY worship.

Accept the fact that they do not wish to get it because it interferes with their perception of what occurred. All who have worked in a chain of command setting know exactly what you are talking about.
