He will be...very good chance Mallett is too. It's going to be an interesting offseason.

Well the problem is how do the 7 other teams above us want a QB? I assume Luck goes #1 so that leaves 6 teams. Just depends how those 6 value Mallett or Locker. Now out of those 6 who actually need a QB? The Broncos are the only team I can guarantee who wont be taking a QB. That leaves the Bills, Bengals, Cardinals, Browns, and 49ers. So it becomes need vs. value. I'm going to reserve my judgment for Locker after the Senior Bowl and combine but last I saw Locker is like the #20th rated player.

I agree..Locker would be a reach at #8 in my opinion. I think at 8, you take Mallett if you believe he is a franchise QB (assuming he falls past the others), or you hope that Akukamara or Peterson are there and take a franchise corner. Picking at #8 there is a good chance we can land one of those 3.

I'm not sure I believe in reaches for QBs. If you believe he can be a franchise QB then take him. You may be wrong but if you're not nobody is going to remember. I remember some people thought Freeman and Flacco were a reach. But there's a rule. If you think a guy is going to be a franchise QB, and you don't have a franchise QB, draft him. If Locker goes to the Seahawks or Vikings and is great, nobody is going to say, "Well taking him at #8 would have been to soon for Tennessee to draft him."

I agree with that..if the staff believes he is a franchise QB. I also believe that if they think Mallett is the guy, then you trade up and make sure you get him.

Of Locker's 11 incompletions, three were drops (catchable ball hits receiver in the hands), and all three were in the first half. Three were throwaways, and all three were on planned rollouts, where the Cornhuskers played the rollout well and covered the receivers well.

Two of Locker's incompletions were pressured throws-at-feet. The play was blown up, Locker was pressured, and he threw the ball low and mostly uncatchable.

Three of Locker's incompletions were overthrows on deep routes. On all three deep routes, the Husky receiver struggled to beat the press of the Cornhusker defensive back, which threw the timing off. Also, all three balls were thrown somewhat out of bounds and uncatchable.

Locker's five completions came on a good throw to the slot receiver on a flag route, a short hitch, two checkdowns, and a slant pass.

Locker's passing stats don't look good, but the more I read about him, the better he seems.

He plays on a team with terrible receivers and a very bad offensive line. He is constantly making throws with pressure in his face to guys who can't manage to get open. He has to throw the ball away a lot, which hurts his stats. He also has to make throws that only his guys can catch (and often they fail to make the catch).

If you put Locker on Stanford, he might not look quite as good as Andrew Luck (who is truly special), but he would look a heck of a lot better. Locker is also still unpolished and has a ton of potential.

I am really starting to be intrigued by the idea of taking Locker at #8.

Please guys we take either CB that is still on the board or A.J. if he's there by some miracle. When Locker is still on the board when we pick in round 2 that's where we take him.
