No, everything has its limits. Staying in an unhealthy relationship, i.e., investing in a team that causes me nothing but anquish isn't being a fan its being a masochist.

Somehow I feel VY would be fine with that. It would be the same if he went anywhere else. He is not likely to be named the starter immediately on any team that would take a chance on him. That's really no big deal. VY still has lot's of confidence in himself...... heck that why he wins. That may be a perspective that no one has thought of..... VY wins and maintains his own self confidence even when the head coach hates him. That's a hell of load to carry.

It makes one wonder when or if any writer will take up the VY side of this story.

    Last bullet...

There isn't anybody Adams loves as an alternative to Fisher that he feels needs to be hired right away. Adams also likely has not had a lot of insider input on just how weak Fisher's replacement would be if the new coach was beholden to Young the moment he walks in the door

    Time will tell though....

That's why there was a Senior Executive Vice President and a General Manager in Houston today meeting with Uncle Bud. Remember, many reports say the Vince has already had one or more meetings with Bud. Not good protocol for a player.

If Bud actually listens to this I will be pleasantly surprised...but, if it results in Fisher staying I think it is a mistake. I still think both need to go at this point.

However, Underwood and Reinfeldt likely have Fisher's back here, so I am sure the case they were making was not to get rid of both...

IMO, I'd be absolutely positive that executive management are all on the same page, and VY's name is not on that page. Bud's job is to listen to his advisors and managers. If he chooses is own route, his prize trophy (Titans) may sink worse.

I say Bud gives Fisher a week to make his case. I don't think Young is going anywhere because he's had players speak up on his behalf. That's just my prediction though.

Fisher has underperformed. Vince has overachieved on the field.

I don't get why everyone is making this out to be a strictly VY vs. Fisher debate. The question of firing Fisher should not be based on his history with VY, but his history with the Titans and frankly I can't understand how anyone can consider Fisher's body of work over the last ~10 years worthy of reward.

And if Underwood and Reinfeldt are uncritically supportive of Fisher then it's probably time they leave too.
