I think if the graphics weren't so last-gen looking (judging from this alone) it'd be better. Kind of looks cheesy when if more realistic looking it'd be freaky as hell.

I know they'll make it creepy with atmosphere and all anyway. I wont play it at dark alone haha.

I enjoyed the first one... I bought it before I knew much about it and felt it was a pleasant surprise. EA making a good game??? Shocking.

May get this. Not sure yet.

I love it! lol. I didn't like Dead Space 1 to much, but I didn't really give it a chance.

Really? I thought it was great. One of the few survival horror games going around.

What didn't you like about it?

To be fair, I didn't like Dead Space when I first played it. I thought it was clunky for the sake of making the game scarier, which was dumb. But I played it again and loved it.

The movement is a lot more fluid this time around (if the demo is any indication) and it sounds like you have full 360 degrees of motion for the zero-gravity sections.

I think that's almost key for making a scary game. If you go back to the good ole days of Survival Horror games, they have that over-the-shoulder, camera restricted style (Resident Evil, Silent Hill) but then again it's probably the limitations of the consoles back then.

Like you said, that worked for the limitation of consoles to a degree. It also worked for Resident Evil, because the main enemies in the game weren't that fast and being clunky made it harder.

In Dead Space it just seemed redundant, because the enemies by and large, are quite quick. Luckily, aiming in the game is some of the best I've seen in a 3rd Person Shooter in some time.
