    Michael Bay isn't a director, he's a comic book character. He's a joke.

They've been recycling titles for a WHILE ..this is nothing new. And when they started looking to comics for source material, it became very apparent that original ideas were a thing of the past.

In the words of Trey Parker, why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?

Because people pay $10/person to see his movies. If people wised up, he would be out, but as long as he makes blockbusters, it won't end until he's dead.

I honestly have no issue with Bay delivering overblown explosion movies every summer. Just stay out of the horror remake game.
If those movies get remade let the young horror hungry Adam Green/Adam Gierasch type directors have a crack at the Friday the 13ths and Elm Streets. Those guys would keep it real..
Rosemary's Baby should be flat out off limits to remake.

Adam Green is going to do some crazy stuff with horror, he needs to leave behind some camp if he's going to resonate with modern audiences, though. I personally think the next messiah for horror is going to be Ti West. House of the Devil was perfect.

Polanski made one of the greatest films ever in Rosemary's Baby...I can't see how they would/could modernize it as film fans let alone directors/producers.

I think Adam would respect the less-camp vibe of the original (in a world where those movies hadn't already been crappified in remake form by Bay's directors) though you are correct about where he takes his own movies..

I just recently finished collaborating with Jimmy Psycho working up and recording the title song for Adam's next flick Chillerama. The movie is a 4-segment flick w each segment directed by a different name - Adam Green himself (doing a Nazi Frankenstein tale with Joel "Avatar" Moore playing Hitler. Apparently Joel creates his own indiscernible version of the German language), Adam Rifkin, Joe Lynch and my 2001 Maniacs buddy Tim Sullivan (Doing I was a Teenage Werebear of all things)..
    Pretty stoked!
