Just a thread for whoever is watching the combine today. Some pro's and con's of some of the guys we might be looking at..or maybe should be taking a look at.

So far its early..first group of QBs have run, and the first group of WRs are getting their run

    Some notes:
-QBs are very athletic..Jake Locker had the best "unofficial" time of 4.52. Of course their on field drills will be the most interesting...

-Julio Jones (I know we aren't looking at him)..but many projected him to be around 4.5, he just ran a 4.43 (and didnt get a good start lol). This guy has great size at 6'4 220 to run a 4.43...the comp between he and AJ should be interesting

    More coming soon...

I want to see all the QBs, but Gabbert isn't doing anything.

It'll also be interesting to see all the RBs... Mark Ingram could be the steal of the draft. Besides the 'Fins no team reallly needs a RB, maybe the Saints. He could fall into the 2nd, and would be an amazing steal. After Ingram there is like 5 RBs equal in value, whos gunna step it up?!

I could see a number of teams taking Ingram in round 1....Dolphins, Saints, Patriots, Colts, Packers could all take him. The Pats have 2 first round picks and the first pick in round 2, I'd be shocked if they passed on him 3 times.

Yea I was hoping he would be throwing as well.

I highly doubt Mark falls to the 2nd..he's definitely going to fall a bit due to most teams either already have a RB or getting one early simply isn't their priority due to having other holes. But a team like maybe the Dolphins at 15..or maybe even the Giants..but he wont make it out of the 1st

So the 1st group of WRs and QBs respectively have been doing drills together. Theres certainly been some issues with the throws. So far...

-Kapernick has a tremendous arm..just has to learn to get it under control

-Locker has been iffy..theres been some perfect throws..and some head scratchers. Mainly it seems to be a footwork issue.

-Mallet has been pretty much making all the throws, deep ball, out route he's probably been the most consistent

The problem with that is that we need someone to throw them the ball..

Mallett was easily the best throwing the ball, but that was to be expected. His arm has never been the question. I came away seeing Locker different then you did. He only made one throw that I considered poor, the one in the over the shoulder drill he threw inside that Sterling commented would have been picked by the safety. His footwork wasn't perfect, but it was improved over the Senior Bowl.
I am very interested to see how far Mallett moves up the draft boards if he did as well in the interviews with teams as has been reported.
