Dont get me wrong..I thought overall..Jake did nothing but move up on teams boards after what he did at the combine. I may have thought he threw a couple more questionable balls than you did...but as I said it was merely a footwork issue..when his feet were under him an set he threw a great ball. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders..I wonder how he's done in interviews

I agree, he did nothing but help his draft stock today. Personally, assuming Mallett's interviews with teams went as well as the reports say they did, I think you will see 4 QBs gone in round 1, maybe all in the top 15. There are so many teams that need QBs this year.

The only thing the combine did for me was drop Newton down even further. Mallett didn't answer any questions about reading coverages, handling pressure, and pocket mobility. Locker didn't answer questions about accuracy, Kaepernick still has that hitch in his release, and Dalton was about as average as you can get. Don't buy into the combine hype, especially for QBs.

Overall I agree, however, if Mallett had good interviews with the teams, and addressed his character issues, then I fully expect him to go in round 1. Locker looked much more impressive throwing the ball today then he did in Senior Bowl practices. I think both him and Mallett moved back into round 1.

I think the person truly hurt was Gabbert...am I one that puts all my stock into the combine? No. But in many instances it can be a helpful tool..especially for someone who didn't necessarily blow anyone away on tape. He may have very well dropped on some teams draft boards..not saying he wont get drafted in the first. He just may not be the first QB taken as for whatever reason so many "analysts" anticipated

I was watching the QB's and WR's link up on some drills, still not that impressed with Cam as far as his throwing goes. But in his defense, the WR's weren't helping him much. I'm still on the fence with Cam. And I only bring him up specifically because we're now talking about getting him at 8 if he's there.

Jim Wyatt said on Twitter that Cam was 11-21 passing. 11-21 going against air?

Strictly from a football standpoint. Imho..the flaws in both Cam and Lockers game is nothing that can't be corrected with hard work, and dedication. And THAT is where a team has to figure out who is best for their team. I would give Locker the edge, because he has more experience under his belt, and i haven't heard of any red flags (so far lol). As i've said before..i'm weary of 1year (1 and done) players. Which is also why im not sold on Fairley..because he had 1 great season..and thats pretty much it

11-21 throwing to nobodies. I now see exactly why high profile QB's with good agents have their guys wait til their Pro Days to throw. Unless you're throwing to Green or Jones, these WR's make it hard to showcase what you're really good at.

The good I did see in Cam was after he missed a target, he followed the next throw with a better pass, then a better. I'll put more into his Pro Day, because then you'll see how he does with guys he's had more than an hour to figure out. Going into his first game he'll get some rhythm going with his NFL teammates, unlike this afternoon where he just meet most these guys.

Unfortunately I can't watch the combine this year, but everything on Twitter is saying he was throwing high all day, except for the out routes, which were short.
