I honestly think The Departed was my first Scorsese movie, so yea... I was like 16 or 17 when it came out. I didn't start picking up on watching older films 'til after then.

    I've seen it.

Haven't seen Raging Bull... which is probably the only one of his big movies I've yet to see.

    Never saw Aviator either.

    My top overrated films:

Scarface, Boondock Saints, and Reservoir dogs.

You may not like Raging Bull. Easily the most dry Scorsese film. And LaMotta is the epitome of a "lacking personality".
The King of Comedy is one of my top Scorsese/Deniro flicks. Very different from all his other stuff.

Agreed on Scarface and Boondock Saints. Loved Black Swan though...

Disagree with much of your list. But I completely agree on Scarface. I've always said that movie gets overrated simply because Tony Montana is such a great character. He's quotable. A total badass. But the movie itself isn't anything special.

(Also agree with you on 300 and Avatar. Most of the rest I really liked though. And saying The Big Lebowski is anything other than an all-time great is complete blashpemy :) )
