99% of Duece's posts are for shock value and contrary. He said last year he would kill himself if we took Earl Thomas whom he basically said sucked. All Thomas did was go out and play great his rookie year and had 5 ints.

Once again RollTide.... READ what I write. I said "Ponder would be the best QB overall by far IF healthy"...

As for Soxcat- I also had no problem admitting I was wrong about Earl Thomas, either.

I'm wrong on 2 out of every 10 and I'm posting for "shock value". What a joke. lol

There is your quote Dunce i mean Duece. I don't see any "if healthy" qualifier.

Then you listed him third in your other list. How does a guy go from third to BY FAR the best?

    Said it all along? lol

    Yes.

You're comparing 2 posts. What does the other say?

In both I say I think Ponder is the best QB in this class.... in one I say if healthy, which only makes sense.

    But manipulate it. Keep reaching...

LOL myself at that one. I'm not a huge Gabbert fan and have similar questions you have but I didn't say he wasn't an NFL prospect. You did. That is looney toon stuff. And you start a thread with that as the title. I won't even try and find the posts on Thomas but it wasn't like you just missed on him a little. You talked like he wasn't worthy to play in the arena league.

Remember everyone that Duece said Morgan was a wasted pick (Michael Johnson 2), and Jerry Hughes was the guy he wanted (I got that one wrong as well) unless we can first get Graham (Dwight Freeney clone? comon man, I liked Graham but Freeney clone). So you might have three wrong right there at one position.

I read that article, but everybody knew that. Edwards was good until he got shell shocked behind that OL.

Ponder is the best quarterback in this draft, but that's not saying much considering most QBs in this draft are complete garbage. I am hoping the Niners trade their 2nd rounder and another pick to move up into the late first round and pick him.

I don't think that assessment is accurate.

Living in Toronto, I see a ton of Bills stuff. Trent Edwards was never close to good. He came into the league as a smart, well-spoken guy who looked like a franchise QB. He was easy to fall in love with and the Bills definitely did.

When Edwards got behind center in an NFL game, it became apparent that he lacked a certain quality that all NFL quarterbacks need in order to succeed. Either he didn't trust his arm (he had a bunch of injuries) or he didn't trust his reads, but Edwards pretty much refused to ever throw the ball downfield. He almost literally checks down on every single play. Part of it is due to a sub-par offensive line, but it's a mistake to put all the blame on the line play. The blame needs to fall on Edwards. He is absolutely brutal to watch.

I would be very scared about the same thing happening to Ponder. He's had 3 throwing arm surgeries and there's a good chance he could become gun-shy. Guys like that can stop trusting their arm and they can start fearing every hit from the defense. When your QB plays scared, you can't win games.

I'm not saying it will happen to Ponder for sure, but it's a legitimate concern. It really ruined Edwards.

I guess, but there was a time when the Bills thought he was their franchise QB. After the 2008 season.
