Best Case (realistic) first two rounds

    This is my favorite realistic scenario, it's what I will cheer for next Thursday/Friday.

    1) Nick Fairley DT
    2) Steven Paea DT

    (IF for some insane reason Locker were there in round 2, I'd take him instead. He won't be.)


    I would consider this a great start to a rebuild. Jason Jones in rotation with these two could create an amazing interior defensive line. I'd like to see it in action.

    That would be nice, but I don't see that happening. However, it's possible to be able to snag Paea in the 2nd round. So you never know.

    PS- I actually talked to Von Miller, Carl Eller, and Carl Banks today on Sirius XM and I asked Von if he would like to play in Nashville, and of course you know he said he would absolutely love to.

    Honestly, my first 2 selections would be Nick Fairley followed by Ryan Mallett. Those two picks right there would make me jump for joy.

    My personal favorite is:

    1st Round: Von Miller or Robert Quinn
    2nd Round: Andy Dalton

    Paea, Marvin Austin, and Drake Nevis are the big reasons I don't really want to take Fairley at 8. When that's your second-round talent pool at DT, there's no reason to jump on a DT in the first.

    I would love to trade back, get JJ Watt, and then be able to trade back into the first round and get Locker. I don't think Locker will stick around long enough though.

    If we double dip at DT then the plan better be to bounce Jones out to DE.

    Jones|Fairley|Paea|Morgan would be an elite unit in 2012 and could probably take us to a top ten D on the strength of our DLine alone.

    Jason Jones should be playing more DE anyway. He can play both, but I think he can only be a solid to good DT while being a great to elite DE. I hope we use him at both positions depending on the match up.
