Lets sign Lienart.. hope he does average/good and his stock will go crazy high like Kolb. Than we will trade him for picks and start Locker next year :)

A man can dream, right? :)

    Here's my updated list:

    Non-starters QB Mentors:
These guys will provide another set of eyes in the QB meeting room and will be able to teach Locker and Rusty how to be professional QBs. But are not expected to start or play.

    Charlie Batch
    Mark Brunell
    Jake Delhomme
    Todd Collins

    Starting QB Mentors:
These guys give the Titans a chance to win/compete right now while also mentoring Jake.

    Donovan McNabb
    Matt Hasselbeck
    Marc Bulger

    Tweeners/Back-up QBs:
You never know how receptive these guys they'll be in the 'mentor' role.

    David Carr-
Kinda Risky because he and Palmer have history and Carr might still think he can play and Palmer might feel obligated to give Carr more rope then he would with another QB.
But the flip side is that Carr should know the offense somewhat and who knows maybe he's recovered from the beating he took behind that Texans OL an could be decent?

well Carr wouldn't get abused by the Titans twice a year anyways.

I just want to see Locker start day 1 pending the lockout. As a fan I'm ok with some growing pains and some bad games, its part of the position. If people remember correctly, Vince didn't look stellar his rookie year, he just won games. Maybe Locker has the same type of intangibles.

I know its not a good idea to kill a rookie's confidence, but I feel that if the players and coaches were behind him, he'd be mature enough to handle the challenge. I just hope if that happened, fans would give him enough time to develop and not throw him under the bus like they did Vince. It usually takes about 3 years for a QB to develop.

I have no problem with Locker beating out a veteran for the starting job and then starting from day 1, but Locker and Rusty both have 1 combined NFL start (and at this point, I don't even trust Rusty as a back up), so bringing in a veteran is essential.

    Vince Young.

Better than any other veteran out there.

That wouldn't work, it'd be too awkward and he'd be a chemistry killer by dividing the locker room. A fresh start is the best move for both the franchise and VY.
