Did I not say they had key parts or did you just decide to crop that out to make a case? Every team wins in their own way but three things have been the most common...A good QB, good OL, and good defense. RB's do help out and sometimes depended on heavily but just like a WR they're a rotating door for a franchise. Dan Marino never won, Manning just once, and McNabb has been real close so there are flaws in the "you need a great QB" logic.

The question was asked how many great RB's have won a super bowl in the past decade. Considering the Patriots already has one in 2001 I don't see how Dillon could be that big of a factor considering it was basically the same team from before.

Build through the draft, franchise QB, good OL, good defense, and a organization/staff that knows what they're doing. That's how you win it all.

The team said show up and get paid. You don't even have to practice. How terribly awful of them. They are just plain evil.

Give me one reason why you think that besides just assuming so. What have the Titans done to this point to convince you? A totally unnecessary national radio announcement made by GM? Seems kinda fishy to me that Reinfieldt won't tell CJ to his face or his agents face to report to camp, but when it comes to the media he has no problem being the good guy.

This is a just a redo of last year's holdout threat and did he get a new deal last year?

Tennessee isn't a big market, really can't afford to give big market money to the easiest position to replace.

That is not what they said Cruds. They said "show up while we 'finalize' the negotiations." Semantics? Absolutely, but very valid concern for CJ and agent, especially when considering how it went down with Finnegan. The Titans FO could stretch this thing out for weeks if they wanted to.

CJ easy to replace? Watch film of Javon Ringer, Jamie Harper and Stafon Johnson.

That's why the NFL has a salary cap...

This whole debate is moronic. Both sides have a point.

Chris Johnson is under contract and should be in camp. I am very rarely opposed to players holding out, I'm not even really opposed to this one, but CJ is hampering his team with all of the changes that were made and the accompanied lockout. He still has the right to get his money while he can and I can't see a reason to fault him for that. He understands the business side of things.

The Titans have made it clear they won't negotiate with someone who is holding out, regardless of importance. Cortland Finnegan found that out the hard way. The Titans also realize that CJ has outperformed his contract, as they gave him a raise last year when they didn't have to.

The easiest thing to do is for CJ to come to camp, meet the coaching staff while not practicing and finish a deal. If things don't go to his liking he can leave before the season starts to show them they need to pony up. Going to camp without practicing seems like the happy medium this situation needs, and CJ refuses to do that at this point.
